HOUSTON, TEXAS. { AIRPORT }
Maija grinned, holding up her phone as she watched her mother walk out the airport, "Mommyyy!" She dragged happily.
Tamara still a small turn away as she watched her daughter hop out her car and walk over to her. "I missed you," She said as she wrapped her arms around Maija, rocking them back and forth. It felt nice having her daughter in her embrace after a year.
Maija just kissed her cheek as she stepped back, "Where's Akai?" She said.
"Y'know that girl love taking her time." Tamara waved her hand.
A few secodns later Akai, Maija's best and only real friend from Sac rounded the corner and Maija did the same way, embracing her in a tight hug. "Kai, my baby."
Akai laughed and hugged her back, "Hi Maija." She kissed her cheek twice, "Let's get outta this airport. I need a shower."
Maija nodded and grabbed her hand, they all began walking toward where Maija parked. "How was the flight?"
"Girl, first clasS? You ain't have to drop a bag like that." Akai looked at Maija.
Maija shook her head, "It's aight. I wanted y'all comfortable."
Tamara smiled, "And we were. Baby, I think we should go shopping first. Take me downtown."
"I thought we could actually go to my place and then head to Bugsy's house for the BBQ they throwin'." Maija had no intentions of ever going back to that block but she knew her mom loved her family so she was willing to go back.
