रगो में रंग-ए-उल्फ़त समाए तो बात हो,
आप हमसे नज़रें कभी मिलाएं तो बात हो,
शब यूं तो गुज़र जाए बेदारियों में ही,
कभी याद, कभी आप भी आएं तो बात हो,
सुकून का किस्सा तो आबशार रह गया,
आप बात इज़्तिरार की चलाएं तो बात हो,
इम्तिज़ाजी इश्क़ का हमें हौसला नहीं,
अहद-ए-वफ़ा की आप जो खाएं तो बात हो,
कभी 'गालिब' तो कभी 'मज़ाज' ही क्यूं डूबे शराब में?
कभी हम, कभी आप भी रंग जमाएं तो बात हो.....
Aria
If colour of love fills in veins, then it would be something,
If you let your eyes meet mine, then it would be something.
My nights spend sleepless anyway,
If sometimes your memories, sometimes you also come, then it would be something.
The story of relief is continuously descending,
If you talk about restlessness, then it would be something.
I don't have courage for a fake love,
If you promise for loyalty, then it would be something.
Why only 'Galib' and 'Mazaz' drown themselves in alcohols?
If sometimes me, sometimes you also get drunk, then it would be something.....
I wrote these lines after reading 'Mazaz's' story on today's headlines. He was really something. After reading his story, I literally spent a good time listening and reading his gazals and poems. Although it was really tough to understand the actual meaning because he had used a lot of Urdu words so I had to translate so many words🙃💁. But still it worths because his gazals worth. If you have time you also can search for him on rekhta or anywhere you find suitable. And trust me guys when I say, it worths, it really worths.
