I quickly pull away from Carl and stare at the grim face in front of us. A smile stretches across his face as he holds his hands along with his bat behind his back. Carl quickly grabs my hand and stares at him through a squinted eye, only if looks could kill.

"Come on kid. Don't cause me anymore problems, my plate is full right now. I'm just here for my daughter." He says as he reaches his hand out towards me, Carl shuffles me closer to the corner and shakes his head.

"She's not going with you." He spits back as he lets go of my hand and stands up. I watch as my dad laughs as he leans back up giving Carl room to get out, I stay smushed in my small corner not evening daring to move.

"You're funny. I like that about you. But, what I don't like is how you're sticking your nose up my ass and getting it in my shit, kid." He says sternly, he brings the bat around to where it swings in front of his legs. "Don't make me kill ya."

With that sentence I find myself scrambling to my feet and standing in front of Carl, "Don't touch him." I mumble. Carls hands find their place on my hips as he slowly pulls be back towards him while mumbling something I couldn't quite understand.

"That's cute." Dad says as he stares at us both in amusement. "Mini Rick and mini Me." He chuckles as he grabs my face with his one hand and smushes my cheeks together, "How sweet." He says mockingly.

I smack his hand away and step away from him, "I'm not a mini you." I say, I felt one of Carls hand slide off my hip making me wonder what he was up too. I didn't care what it was at this point, I just wanted out of here.

Dad takes a step closer towards me, but before he can get closer Carl shoves me to the side and Dad hits the ground. "Fucking shit!" He yells as he grabs his leg, blood expands on the floor making my breath catch in my throat.

"Run now!" Carl yells. Did he just shoot him? Holy hell. I was too stunned, I finally felt my feet begin to move as Carl grabs my hand and pulls me behind him. "We need to find a exit downstairs. His men are probably surrounding us, they'll come in any second." He says once we reach the stairs and make our run down.

"I think I saw a door, maybe it's a basement. Some basements have windows it might be our best shot." I reply once we reach the end, I grab his hand and pull him behind me. I grab the door handle and yank it open, "Oh fuck." I say as I notice a dozen walkers down below, the noise clearly drawing their attention.

Carl places his gun back in his holster before grabbing his knife, I follow his movements as I grab mine as well. "Stay behind me and shut the door." He says. I move and let him walk in front of me, I grab the handle and easily shut the door not wanting to give anyone the advantage of knowing where we were.

I follow down behind him as he begins to stab walkers who were making their way up the steps. once he reached the bottom I was able to help as well. He heads towards the right and I head towards the left slashing walkers in our way. Once they were down I heard more groaning, Carl was standing still as he stared at the wall.

"What is it?" I ask making my way over. I wasn't prepared for what I was about to see, it still wasn't as bad as the baby, but this was just... weird. "Oh? Um." I say as I slightly tilt my head to the side. Carl shakes his head drawing his eyes away from the image before him.

"We don't have time for this." He says as he starts to look around, "There." He says as he grabs my hand and turns me around, a small window was perched just above a table. "I'll go out first, make sure it's clear then you follow okay?" I turn my eyes back towards the wall before nodding my head.

"We could use those to help us, incase dad already has his men coming in searching for us." I say pointing at the wall. Carl sighs and nods his head, before walking up closer to the window and prying it open.

"Can you cut them loose then run to the window in time?" He asks as he turns back towards me, I nod my head nod looking at him. "Look at me and tell me you can." I turn my head towards him as I wipe my knife on my pants.

"I can. Just hurry and get out the window, I think I hear footsteps." I whisper. He nods his head and steps on the table before sticking his head out the window. I slowly walk towards the five walkers that were tied up with rope in a very odd way, if you know what I mean. Getting kinky before the apocalypse probably wasn't the best idea these guys had.

Carl squeezes his body through the window and looks around before crouching back down and speaking to me. "Hurry up and cut them free and get out here before we get caught." Thankfully all them was tied with the same rope so at least two cuts will set them all free. I hold my knife up as soon as I hear the basement door squeak open.

"Shit." I mumble underneath my breath before I slice two parts of the ropes. The walkers quickly fall down but stand up and make their way towards me as footsteps begin to come down the stairs. I turn around and jump onto the table grabbing Carl's hand he had reached it and climb my way to the outside.

"They made it out!" I hear a voice scream once Carl pulls me to my feet. He grabs my hand and quickly starts to run towards the woods. "Fuck!" I hear the guys yell followed by a few gunshots. I smile as I turn my head back and stare at the house.

I notice my dad watching us from the upstairs window his face scrunched up in anger as he watches us get away. I giggle to myself, I loved pissing that man off. I jerk Carl's hand making him stop his movement as I stand there staring at him. All his men must've been inside. Idiots.

Carl's grip was tight on my hand as he whispers "Let's go." in my ear. I nod my head and slowly walk backwards still making eye contact with my father before I slowly raise my hand and flip him off.

"Bye asshole."
