"Well,", Obliterator started, breaking the silence and causing the villains to watch him, "if you're not going to join us then you'll have to die".
Not sure if my remarks do anything but I wouldn't hurt to argue, "you'll have to catch me first", I teased. The villains started laughing, I tuned them out and he too wore an evil smile.
"I don't think that'll be necessary, considering we both know you can't make a move without me stopping you"
Right, he was, but I didn't want to give up too easily, "I don't care if you can or can't make a move quicker than me. It's not about that, it's about how so many heroes risked their lives today and they won't die in vain".
"Right, they did risk their lives, and who brought them here?", he alluded to something else.
"Mega brought them here!", I stated
"And who was it that got Mega to do that?"
"What are you trying to say? I'm confused", I asked and told him.
"Well, if you think about it, you and Mega worked together to slow me down back at Xicot. And we both know that one guy wasn't going to follow you after you told them you're the reason your friends were dead. And not to mention, you also confessed to killing four members of The Society. His heart rate changed after that, I heard everything even while I was still hidden. I could sense that your fan base decreased, so I wouldn't have expected him to bring all these idiots here to fight with you."
I was personally confused, "what does that have to do with it?", I threw at him.
"If your friend Mega convinced everyone to come here, for your behalf, then you're the reason they're all dead too", he stabbed.
Now I was thinking about it, and the only thing that annoyed me the most was that he was somewhat right. I don't know that it was completely the reason, but she sided with me, and they all saw her as more of a leader. I basically was the pendulum for everyone walking into traps. Oh my god, it was me, each and every time, it is my fault. No matter what I did, or whom I got on board to add to the fight, I led them to each dead end. My eyes widened but remained to my side, I couldn't believe it.
"Ah, see, there it is, right on that expression, you do agree, don't you?", he was now playing with me.
I ripped my helmet off, not being able to breath and tears pooling at the eyes, I needed air. The air felt like it was fueling my agony, the tears fell out larger than before as I stood here. Cold air clawed at the water resting at the bottoms of my eyes, I'm so messed up; I began to realize.
"There's no need to cry", and Satana was now jabbing. "You're a grown man, deal with your problems and move on. So, you led all of your friends to their deaths, call it a day or give up".
You could see Vudu fake rubbing her button eyes to mock me. Others were chuckling or full on laughing already.
"Oh, for god's sake", Obliterator stole the spotlight again, "just die already. Nobody here cares how you feel, you did it to yourself. You killed your friends and got everyone else involved because you couldn't do it like you thought you could. You think you're some powerful hero that could turn the tide and make a stand against us. Well, you failed, there's nothing that would have helped in your favor because you simply thought your opinions and decisions mattered. It's because of you there are barely any heroes left and as we do thank you for bringing them to us, you have yourself to blame. Nothing can change any of it, you truly should have never come out of hiding and maybe none of this would have happened. It probably would have because we are stronger than you all, minus your inconveniences of course".
