Chapter 38

- Next Day After Christmas - 

Y/N's POV

One of these days I will have the day off after Christmas. I am kind of glad I don't though since I had so much time off here recently. We are one of the only hair businesses open after the holiday right before the new year.

"I think it is kind of insane how your boss thinks you should be able to work today. Shouldn't he give you guys all off for a bit longer than he does?" Robin asks 

"Well, I mean we are open because he likes to be in competition with a lot of people. But, I can also see why I work since I had off for a bit of time here recently." I say

"But didn't you have to work last year? You did not have any extra time off then either." Robin says 

"Well, yes I did work but I kind of chose to do so. I mean it is not a big deal for me to go into work for a bit of time. Plus, it is fun to do these kind of things and see the smiles of clients." I say

"You are just too good of a person for this world. People need more of you in this world and see how life would be with more of you." Robin says 

"Oh, yeah no I do not think this world needs more of me. I think if the world had more of me the world would be crazy." I say

"I think the world could be but then again nobody would have a different personality." Robin says 

"Mmm, true. Anyways, I have to get ready to get out of here." I say but getting my things 

"I get to be home for the day today which is fun for me." Robin says 

"I think that will be fun for you while I am at work. Let me know what you do today when I get home." I say but kissing his cheek

I leave the house and head on over to work and through those doors.

"Oh hey girl. I did not know you was going to be coming in to work today." Liv says 

"Yes, of course I am here every year at this time. I like to be here for the people and see how everyone is the day after Christmas." I say

"I think it is cool you are and so we can work together. Our schedule is pretty short and light today so I do not think it is going to be a whole six hour shift." Liv says 

"Oh, well that is a good thing." I say

We get our stuff situated and get to work. Taking our breaks in between of course.

"How is your day going so far?" Liv asks 

"Oh, it is good my clients are so nice and such. How is yours going?" I ask

"Good as well the clients are so chill today." Liv says 

"I think because of after the holiday everyone is just trying to relax for the time being." I say

"Oh well of course. I do think it is good for people to be able to relax before turning back to work. I wonder what time other places go back to work after holidays." Liv says 

"I know - the only place I know that goes back like us is the grocery stores. Then most are closed on New Years then back open the next." I say

"The world is interesting with the ways they do things. I think it is just up to the people who run the places and when they want to send people back in to work." Liv says 

"I think so too and it is kind of like our boss he is the kind of person who likes competition and well here we are." I say

"Here we are having fun making people happy like we are giving a kid candy." Liv says but with a chuckle 

"I know and it makes me happy to think about the people we can give a smile to. Not everyone can do the things we do in this life of ours." I say

"Nah, we are special in the way we do it." Liv says 

We finish out our day and work on cleaning up the work space.

"Guess what I get to do after this." Liv says 

"What do you get to do now you are off work?" I ask

"Well, I am going on a date for the first time in forever. I am not even sure how life is going to be on this date." Liv says 

"I think you are going to have so much fun." I say but with a smile 

"I would hope so. I think for going on a date I have a lot of things I have to hold for this date." Liv says 

"You have a lot to offer so I think it is going to be such a nice thing for you to be able to go on this date. Maybe this could be the one you end up dating?" I ask

"I don't know he has been a client for a bit of time so I kind of know a lot about him." Liv says 

"Well, that is good you are not going into it all blind." I say

"Yeah, I am glad I learned some stuff about him because I am not going to be like oh what do you like to do with your life? Or what do you do for work?" Liv says 

"What does he do for work?" I ask

"He works at a restaurant which is fun to know." Liv says 

"Is that where he is going to be taking you out to?" I ask

"I have no clue to be honest he said it is going to be a surprise but he is going to be picking me up so it is cool." Liv says 

"Sounds magical." I say
