Chapter 126

- Day Before Thanksgiving in London - 

Y/N's POV

Today was the day before Thanksgiving. This meant it would be a long day for us when it came to cooking and prepping everything. My folks flew in last night but they chose to stay at a hotel. I told them they could stay with us but of course them being the way they are they chose not to.

"I think this is going to be a lot of fun prepping all of the foods. I think it is such a cool thing to be able to do this for the whole family." Robin says 

"I think it is going to be a lot of fun as well. I feel like it is one of those things  that gives you some kind of happiness deep down inside." I say

"I know and cooking but also baking brings me a lot of joy. I don't know how people tend to do this so quick but I am so glad that your folks will be coming in today from the hotel." Robin says 

"I think it is a lot of fun for them to be able to come by and help us out. I do not know how my parents have done this for us each year." I say

"I know it is kind of time consuming but a lot of fun with the same kind of idea." Robin says 

We would begin by prepping some of the dessert items. We had made the toffee pudding this morning. It was real simple to do so.

"I think it is kind of fun to make the toffee pudding. I do not know how some people make it so quickly but it was not too hard to do." Robin says 

"I know you did a good job with it." I say

"Like I said it was not hard by following the recipe but you know." Robin replies 

"I think I am going to be making the cranberries now." I say but gathering up the items I need for them

"I think those are going to be one of the most simple for us to get done." Robin says

"I know I think we should do the turkey tonight before bed time." I say

"I think that will be the best time for us to be able get it done. It will not get in the way of anything else either." Robin says 

I would work on the cranberries and Robin would begin to prep some of the potatoes. We would be making some mashed potatoes for the next day.

"You make the best mashed potatoes ever." I say 

"Are you sure about that?" He asks but looking at me 

"Of course, I am sure about it." I say but with a chuckle 

"And I think your mom makes better potatoes than I do but who am I to judge." Robin says 

"I think my mom's are good too." I say

"When are your family coming in from the hotel?" Robin asks 

"I think it might not be too long from now. But I think my dad is going to be helping make the pumpkin pie." I say 

"Ooo yes his pies are some of the best to date." Robin says 

"Oh I know and then ofc my mom is going to help with the stuffing prep. I don't know what she does but she makes it so good all of the time." I say

"I know she is just one of those people with the magic touch she has." Robin says 

"I think it is such a blessing to have the families we have you know." I say

"I think it is funny how my family does nothing but show up and eat." Robin says 

"I think it is cute for the first time your parents will be here with us for this kind of meal." I say but with a smile 

"I know." Robin says 

"I think we should just finish the prep and get on with our time." I say

"I think you are right." He replies 

We would finish up the things we had left to do for the food prep and soon enough the family would come inside.

"Hey guys how is everyone in here doing?" My mom asks 

"We are doing good mama." I say 

"Good." My mom replies 

"Who is ready to help make some pies?" My dad asks 

"I am." Robin says but with a smile 

I loved the bond my dad and Robin had. It was such a cute bond you know? It always gave me a smile. Me and my mom would work together meanwhile the boys would work together.

"I think it is kind of nice how we both have our own little teams for different things." Robin says 

"I know it is cute." My mom says 

"I don't know how to think about life sometimes. I am so blessed with the way our families are." I say

"I like how close we are as a family with both sides." Robin says 

"I know I could not imagine our life being any better." I say

"You guys are like the most perfect couple that could ever have been." My dad says 

"I like to think we are a pretty awesome couple you know." Robin says 

"Well of course." I say

"I think you guys are the strongest and have been through so much together." My dad says 

"I know we have but you know how it goes. We go through a lot of fun things for us to build some bonds with one another and then life itself." I say

"I love the idea of you guys being together for so long. And ugh your wedding was so amazing." My mom says 

"It really was." My dad says 

"I like how this turned into reflecting into our whole relationship." I say but with a chuckle 

"I know it is cute though you know." Robin says 

"I know it is cute but it is one of those things you know." I say

We would finish up our prep for the next day and enjoy our time with one another.
