- Thanksgiving Day -
Y/N's POV
Today is Thanksgiving and everyone is going to be here with us. I think it is going to be one long day I am not too sure how this is going to be. I know what Grayson said about how it is family and not to be worried about it but you know me. My anxiety is always high and I am not too sure what to think about it. I love all of my family so I hope I do not get overwhelmed. I think maybe it will be different now we will all be together and it is not the whole conversation about it.
"Do you think you will be okay with everyone coming in?" Robin asks
"I am going to be fine. I am remembering what Grayson said about it. He was talking about how it is family and not to be worried about it once everyone is in the room together." I say
"He is not wrong - I do think the whole thing about being together is special. Not everyone gets the same chances as we do to see everyone like this." Robin says
"I know and I am blessed to have everyone to be here still." I say
"Your grandparents are all here come on down!" Mom shouts up the stairs
We would all make our way downstairs and into the living room.
"Hey Grams." I say but hugging my grandma from my moms side
"Hey Gramps." Ethan says but hugging our grandpa from our moms side
We would hug both sets of our grandparents and then us kids would sit on the floor since the aunts and uncles would be arriving soon.
"The turkey is in the oven and should be done in like 2 hours." Mom says
"Oh perfect." Grams says
"I missed you guys all being together and here with us." I say
"We missed being here. It has been so long and everyone has changed so much." Grams says
I would smile thinking about all of the memories made in this house with everyone.
"The pie is in the oven as well." Dad says
"What kind of pie is it?" Grandma (dad's mom) asks
"It is cherry pie and a pumpkin pie I made last night." Dad says
"Ooo, perfect." Grandma says
"Gramps." I say but looking over at my grandpa (from moms side)
"Yes, kiddo?" Gramps says
"How has life been lately? I know you have been working on some wood crafts." I say
"Well, it has been going pretty good. I have been making these kinds of crafts left and right. They are coming out just the way I like them to." Gramps replies
"Ooo, that sounds like a lot of fun." I say but with a smile
"One of these days you are going to have to come down into town so I can show you them." Gramps says
"I would love to and I think the boys would like to as well?" I say
"Of course we would I think it is so interesting to be able to see how they are made." Ethan says
"Same, it is interesting to see how they are put together." Grayson says
- Skips to after the aunts and uncles came in and skips to when everyone is leaving -
"This has been such a nice time." Grams says
"I had such an amazing time seeing you guys." I say but hugging her
"I hope we can see each other more often. You need to come to America more." Gram says
"I know we will. I will be coming in more often." I say
We would say our goodbyes and I would head up into the bedroom. By this time it was like 7pm which was not too late but the jet lag was getting to me from the last few days. I would put my hair up and get changed into comfortable clothes.
Robin followed me into the bedroom.
"You always somehow change so quick into comfortable clothes. I think it is one of your superpowers." Robin says but with a chuckle
"I think so too but it is kind of interesting how quick I am to get comfy. I just like to be comfortable whenever I can." I say
"I know and it is nice to be comfortable but dang." Robin says but with a chuckle then he would get comfortable as well
"I feel like I ate way too much but seeing everyone was so nice. I think it is nice to have everyone together and then making plans to see my grandparents more often is a good thing." I say
"Yeah, I think it is nice you are going to be seeing them more often. Spending as much time as you can with them is the best thing you could do." Robin says
"I know grandparents are not around forever but god I hope they are for me." I say
"I know I hope so too my love." Robin says but kissing my head
I would smile a little.
"Do you like when I kiss your head?" Robin asks but looking at me
"Yes, I do. I think it is cute and wholesome when you do it." I say but looking at him
"Mmm, I will keep that in mind for future reference." Robin says but unmaking the bed for us
"I am not too sure when we want to get in bed and get to sleep." I say
"I am fine with whenever you are tired. You know me I am always ready for sleep." Robin says but with a chuckle
"I know my love I think I am going to let the food settle for a bit." I say but with a chuckle
We would head to the living room and sit on the couch with the brothers.
"Hey guys." Ethan says
"Hey guys." I say but looking at the tv
"We are watching another movie." Grayson says
"Works for me." I say but getting a blanket for me and Robin on the couch
We would enjoy the movie until we would part ways and all head to bed later.
