- Thanksgiving Week -
Y/N's POV
Thanksgiving of 1984 was upon us once again which meant all of the holidays have been coming up and here they are. I think the years are flashing by and yet again another year I don't feel like I have accomplished much. Robin has gotten so many amazing things done this year and he has made one heck of a thrill out of 1984. Meanwhile, I have held a stable job for a bit of time which I guess is a good thing. I also released the poetry book I had been wanting to put out for a bit of time. I am proud of that.
"I think this is going to be a good visit in America. I am excited to see your family they are some of the best people." Robin says
"I think so too and I do hope it is just as good as it always has been. Everyone is not going to be there this year though. Just my brothers and then my grandparents from both sides." I say
"That is still going to be a lot of fun. I think it is nice how your family invited my brothers to come and visit with them as well." Robin says
"I think it nice that they invited them and you know they do not know how crazy they are." I say but with a chuckle
"Nobody could ever guess how crazy my brothers could be but you know we love them for it." Robin says but with a smile
"We do indeed." I say
We were finishing up going over our packing and everything we have packed and what we needed left to pack.
We would be heading out in the morning so this was going to be an early night for us. We wanted to get in some sleep before the plane and of course sleeping on the plane is going to be the move if possible.
"I think it is kind of cool bringing my brothers to America. They do not end up in America often so this should be a lot of fun." Robin says
"My family loves all of them so it is going to be a lot of fun." I say
"Your dad is one cool person and so is your mom." Robin says
"I cannot wait to see them. It always seems like it has been forever but then it feels like no time has passed when we reunite." I say
"I think that is kind of how life works you know. You could be away from someone or multiple people for a bit of time and then it feels no different than the last time." He replies
"I love that kind of feeling it is such a warm and heart touching feeling." I say
"Oh, of course." Robin says but closing up his suitcase
I would do the same with mine and we would put them where we would complete them in the morning.
"I think this is a nice thing for us to be able to do." I say
"I am so glad." He replies
We would get comfortable and get the last things we need for the trip prepped. We tired to make sure there was nothing we was forgetting.
The phone rang.
"Who could that be?" Robin asks but going over to the phone
Robin would answer the phone "hello"
"Hey, its Mo. Are you guys ready for the trip to America tomorrow?" Mo asks
"Oh yeah we are like trying to finish up getting the things we need ready." Robin says
"Oh good. We got the things we need all ready to go so we will meet you guys in the morning." Mo says
"Perfect then." Robin replied
They would converse a bit more over the phone meanwhile I would be getting ready and getting into bed.
"Okay, they are ready to meet us in the morning." Robin says but turning around after hanging up the phone
"Okay, sounds perfect then." I say but looking at him
"How dare you get into the bed without me." Robin says but with a chuckle
"I am sorry but you was on the phone and I can do what I plan to do." I say but with a chuckle
"Ugh fine scootch over." Robin says but sitting down on the bed
I would remain where I was.
"Well, this is the what time we are going to be heading to America together?" He asks
"I have no clue to be honest - I have lost count and you know I do not know how to feel about it." I say
"I think it is a nice thing we is able to do this as a couple." Robin says
"I am wondering what kind of things we can do from now on like this." I say
"Do you think it would be fun if we planned out some interesting things for us to do over the time of being in America?" He asks
"There is so many new and different things we can do in America. I do not know how much time we might have to spend it though. I might be with my mom off and on." I say
"Your dad is a cool dude so if we end up hanging out with him I will not mind it." Robin says
"I am just glad you and my family get along so well. It does make me so happy to know it." I say
"Well of course he is your dad and I am your husband. We have got to get along or else it would not be a good thing." Robin says
"I know but still I am just grateful." I say but with a smile
"One of these days I do want to see how New York would be for the holidays. The Macy's Parade in person would be a lot of fun." He says
"I think that would be a lot of fun. Maybe it could be next year we do it?" I ask
"I think that will be perfect." He replies but with a smile
We would end up going to sleep and getting in as much sleep as possible before the next morning would come over for the airport.
