Seokjin fluttered his eyes open, vision disoriented for a few moments. He groaned, mind heavy and body numb.
"Seokjin" a voice called to him and he turned towards it, blurry features slowly revealing the face of his husband who was leaning over him, frowning. The alpha reached out to him, slowly caressing his cheek, a small smile on his face. "You fainted back there, so we carried you here. Do you feel alright?" he asked softly.
The events came back to him and Seokjin immediately sat up, ignoring the sharp pang in his head, frantically pointing at the door. His mother and father-in-law stood by the door along with Jungkook, looking at him.
"Alp- pha I saw th-" he felt his panic rising as he hurriedly tried to warn his family members about the wolves that he saw. Namjoon nodded and hushed him, rubbing his back comfortingly.
"I swear I saw wolves. I'm not lying. They will hurt us alpha" sniffled, tears welling in his eyes. He had to convince them that what he saw was true, that he wasn't lying.
"I know. It's okay Seokjin nothing is going to happen to us, calm down" he whispered, pulling the shaking omega to his chest, the other immediately cuddling to his chest, his fist gripping the fabric of his shirt tightly.
This was exactly what Namjoon was afraid of happening. He had constantly asked his parents to let him tell Seokjin everything, had he done that before, Seokjin wouldn't have been crying in fear now. He mentally kicked himself for being so stupid, titling the omega's face so that he was looking at him and wiped the tears away, smiling slightly at the red nose and wet eyes. The omega knitted his eyebrows, as if processing his presence.
"Alpha you're back?" Seokjin asked, eyes widening and turning towards the window, noticing then that the sun has long set, darkness covering the sky. "How long have I..?" he trailed, grip tightening on the sheets. "Not long. Only about an hour or so" Namjoon answered. "What were you doing there Seokjin?" he asked, worriedly. He did not think that the omega would venture into the part of the mansion he did not know about alone. He had hoped to show him the area after telling him everything.
Seokjin averted his gaze, pulling away from his husband, staring at his hands resting on his lap. "About a month ago, I was passing by when I thought I saw something, so I went there. It was too dark for me to see what was in the shadows and was scared so I ran away. I did not tell you all because I did not want to worry you or make you think that I was crazy. But today I went there to confirm and saw two wolves" he mumbled, tears welling in his eyes again.
He dare not look up, not wanting to face the alpha. He might have upset all of them but acting stupid. Be he was now a hundred percent sure about what he had seen. "You might think that I am lying but I swear that I saw wolves. We have to go somewhere safer immediately" he pleaded, eyes darting between his husband and the people in the room.
"I know Seokjin. But they will not hurt us" he said, clearing his throat and preparing himself to tell their story, his family's story. Lying any more was going to hurt him. He turned around, meeting his father's gaze and nodding to him. A silent message passe between the everyone and they left the couple alone, Jungkook giving the confused omega a slight smile to put him at ease. Once the door was closed, Namjoon turned back to his mate, squeezing his hand comfortingly.
"W- What's going on alpha?" Seokjin asked, fear evident in his voice, lips quivering. Of course everyone thought that he was lying and had gone crazy. Maybe it was true, maybe he had really gone crazy. Were they going to abandon him? Was Namjoon going to abandon him? The alpha placed a finger on his lips to shush him, a lone tear falling from his again wet eyes. He closed his eyes as his face was caressed, feeling the man inch closer, pulling him so that he was enveloped in his arms.
