"Namjoon what happened?" Seo Hi urgently questioned, worried at the distress in her son's scent. She watched helplessly as he walked the length of the room not bothering to answer her. Her son had left early in the morning after he received a message from the palace and he had done since he returned was pace around. Jungkook stepped up, nose wrinkling as the sourness of the scent invaded his senses. It was difficult to not gag.

"Is there a problem sir?" he asked gently. Namjoon snapped up at him and Jungkook was taken aback by the fear and anger in his eyes. He had known the man for ten months and never, had he seen him in a state like that. His breathing was shallow, palms clenching and unclenching from time to time. It took him a minute to finally speak.

"They took Seokjin and Taehyung" he rasped. "What?" Seo Hi asked, taken aback. The last time she heard from them, they had left for the Gem Palace where the queen was waiting for them. "The group of omegas were kidnapped on the way to the palace. It was the Castaways. The soldiers have left to find them but there is no knowing how many there are and how long it will take" he said, tears threatening to spill from his eyes.

Horror gripped her senses as the situation finally gripped her, Jungkook helping her into the nearest seat. "But you haven't mated Seokjin yet" she whispered, eyes trained on her son who now stood staring out the window. Jungkook swallowed beside her, worry gnawing at his heart, the feeling of dread slowly setting on him. "Everything is going to be okay. They are going to come back without being hurt, I am sure the military will have found them by now" he muttered, unsure if the words were for comforting the Lady or himself.

"This is why you should have listened to me when I asked you to mate him. But no! You both wanted to take your time and delay it. Look where it has gotten you" she yelled, unable to keep her anger within folds. "If something happens to Seokjin the honor of this family-"

"For Moon's sake mother not everything has to be about the family's honor!", Namjoon snapped, struggling to keep his anger at bay. "This is question about my mate's and my little brother's safety, it does not matter to me what happens to honor as long as they are safe!" he thundered, smashing a fist into the window, the glass breaking with a loud crash, red eyes trained on the woman, scent strong enough to force a whimper out of her.

Rage coursed through his veins, bubbling as it waited for an output. The alpha was angry, fangs piercing out of his gums as he bared them, gearing for a fight to take down the one that insulted his mate. Here he was worried for their safety and all this woman could think about was the society!

"I have had enough with this nonsense of yours. Until you get your head straight refrain from talking to me. I do not want to unleash my animal on you" he growled, uncaring as he stepped over the shards scattered at his feet, knuckles bleeding and walked out of the room, blood slowly dripping and sinking into the carpet. Seo Hi asked Jungkook to leave, shaken by her son's words to the core, wanting to be left alone.

She stared as her husband standing by the door with tears in her eyes, waiting for him to walk in and hold her, tell her that it was Namjoon who acted irrationally and that everything was going to be okay. Instead, he shook his head, the sadness within him startling her as she reached out to him through their bond. "I am disappointed in you dear. Think about what you said to him" he mumbled, shaking his head and closing the door behind him.

Jungkook stood awkwardly, staring at his feet, unsure if he should stay or leave. "Was I really that wrong? I am worried about my son and son-in-law too. I never... never thought I was being this harsh. All I want is for the people out there to stop criticizing my family for something we have no control over. If a common man was to commit murder, he would be punished but if one of the members of our family was to do the same then all of us shifters are blamed. I am merely trying to avoid it" she spoke up, looking towards him with tears in her eyes.
