The woods were strangely quiet, the only sound was the wind blowing through the trees, and Jisung's feet crunching underneath him. The sun shined through the trees, bringing some light to the dim path Jisung walked upon, making the large, shaded trees seem to stand out even more.
It was a cool morning, not cold, yet not warm, as Jisung walked, looking around the scenery, taking it all in as he held on tight to his backpack straps. Being alone use to sound dreadful and terrifying to Jisung. However, being out here, alone with nature, it didn't even seem real.
Jisung never knew how much comfort he could find from being outdoors. The sun hit his face just right, making his cheeks warm and rosy. The sun seemed to follow him wherever he went, providing light and warmth with each step he took.
A small stream was further down the bank, running water flowing through his ears as he could faintly smell the crisp dew. The grass tickled at his pants, making him look down at his footsteps, footsteps he made in the mud; reminiscing on the past few days that were rainy and cold.
However, something made Jisung furrow his eyebrows as he noticed other footprints in the mud. Looking ahead on the path, Jisung noticed other footprints, smaller prints, but the prints were bare. This person must be wearing no shoes, which caused confusion as Jisung looked around.
These footprints seemed to be fresh. Whoever was here, couldn't be far from him.
Taking a deep breath, Jisung shook away his weary thoughts as he continued walking. He didn't mean too, but subconsciously he was walking slower and softer, the sound of his feet almost nonexistent, as well as his breathing. He held his breath as his ears seemed to become more alert in the moment.
Jisung couldn't tell if he was hearing things, imagining things, but a soft, beautiful hum began to ring through the air. He seemed to freeze as the beautiful melody rang through his ears, goosebumps emerging from his arms and neck at the gorgeous melody. It was almost like a dream; as if a siren were enchanting him to his dreadful demise.
The birds started chirping as the sun seemed to shine brighter than before. Butterflies breezed past him as he looked around, trying to find the person who was singing this beautiful hymn. Looking left, down at the bank, Jisung froze, his eyes wide, his breath caught in his throat as he stared down at who stood in the bank.
Their skin was so soft and fair, hair white as snow as they picked flowers along the stream, butterflies flying all around him, birds watching him from the trees as his bare skin was on full display. Jisung wanted to call out, ask the male if he was okay, but his voice was stuck in his throat.
Felix, sensing someone behind him, turned around, staring at the man looking at him, causing Felix to shriek in fright, covering his body as his bunny ears perked straight up. His eyes were the color of honey, making Jisung get lost in his eyes as he dropped his backpack to the ground, his feet finally moving as he walked towards the stream.
Felix was frozen, his body trembling, feeling like prey to a predator, but he stopped when he heard such a soft, gentle voice from the other.
Jisung noticed his bunny ears, and small cotton white tail, but even though his mind was hazy as he felt like his was seeing things, this male's safety was the only thing running through Jisung's mind. Taking off his jacket, he cleared his throat as he finally found the courage to speak up.
"Are you cold?" The man whispered, snapping Felix from his negative thoughts, watching as the male handed him his jacket, his hands slightly shaking, almost afraid to be speaking.
His eyes were closed, almost out of respect as Felix blushed, realizing that his clothes were laid out upon the bank, leaving him bare to the male in-front of him. Felix sniffed at him, smelling the faint musk of pine as his nose twitched in anticipation and curiosity.
Jisung could feel Felix's hair tickle at his neck and jaw, opening his eyes, watching the hybrid sniff him gently. Felix looked him over, noticing his tan, honey skin, silky black hair, and his chocolate eyes. Felix was enticed, it was love at first sight, and Felix couldn't look away. His eyes were glued to the male in front of him.
His tail twitched, his ears brushing against Jisung skin, continuing to sniff at him as Jisung didn't dare move. Almost afraid that if he moved just one hair on his body, he would scare the poor hybrid away from him. Jisung took a step of courage, trembling as he laid his jacket over Felix's shoulders, watching as the coat engulfed the hybrid into a warm embrace.
Felix continued sniffing, trailing his face up to Jisung's face, pausing at his lips as Felix hovered over them. Felix sniffed his lips, sticking out his tongue as he licked him softly, almost as if he was trying to get to know him better, needing to know who was infront of him.
Jisung flinched, his cheeks red and his heart pounding, feeling the way Felix was nuzzling into him, and the way his lips glided along his own. Felix took Jisung's hand, guiding him out of the water as Jisung stumbled, not able to walk properly as he was too stunned to speak, he was at a loss for words.
Felix slipped on his garments, turning back around to Jisung, not letting go of his hand, almost afraid to lose sight of Jisung.
"Mate" Felix whispered, biting softly at the flesh of Jisung's skin, making Jisung flinch as he stuttered over his words.
"N-No I'm not your mate" Jisung stuttered, watching as Felix's ears flopped over, the feeling of his hand letting go, watching at Felix began to back away, his eyes glossing over with tears.
Jisung panicked, not wanting to ever hurt the hybrids feelings, but he also didn't want the hybrid to leave. Even though he didn't know him, not even his name, Jisung couldn't fathom losing him. For some reason, seeing the bunny so upset made his heart clench, and his stomach churn in agony.
"Wait I'm sorry, please come back...my mate" Jisung whispered, reaching out to him, watching as Felix immediately came back to him in submission, nuzzling himself into his chest as Jisung was trying to think.
Taking off his beanie, Jisung put in on Felix's head, trying to cover his ears, not wanting anyone to see that he was hybrid. The risk of Felix getting hurt was too much to bear. Jisung took off his shoes, putting them on Felix's feet, even though they were too big for him; Jisung couldn't risk Felix's feet getting hurt.
Jisung held his hand, walking with him as Felix was quiet, a man of few words as he never once stopped smelling Jisung's scent. All Felix cared about was the fact his mate accepted him, and wherever Jisung went, he would follow. However, Felix still needed confirmation, he didn't want Jisung to feel forced to be his mate. However, still a hybrid at heart, Felix didn't quite know how things worked like this with humans.
"Mine?" Felix whispered, trapping Jisung against a tree, sniffing at his lips once more before kissing him, his hybrid side taking over, making him possessive as he didn't quite understand the fact why Jisung was so nervous and flustered from the sudden kiss. Felix only wanted to show his love.
"Yes I'm yours" Jisung whispered, watching as the smaller smiled at him, nuzzling into his neck as Jisung could smell a faint scent of strawberries and vanilla coming from his hair.
Jisung's hands shook, moving away as he zipped up the jacket he put on Felix, watching how Felix was shivering from the cold.
"Let's go home" Jisung told him, watching as Felix cocked his head, to Felix, the woods were their home.
"I have a good home for you. For us, okay?" Jisung told him, knowing that Felix wasn't going to let him leave alone, but he couldn't live in the woods with Felix; it was not safe nor practical.
Felix nodded, staying close to Jisung, sniffing at the jacket he gave him as Jisung held his hand. Leading them home, Jisung knew the next few weeks would be challenging for the new couple. Especially for a hybrid and a human trying to get to know each other and how they live.
But for some reason, Jisung can't leave him alone, and neither can Felix.
