Silent Love: Beomgyu x Taehyun (TXT)

Summary: Even though they do not understand each other, they understand each other's love.

Taehyun waited at the shore of the lake, picking at the grass and skipping stones as the sun began to hide in the trees. Wind blew softly, ruffling his hair as he dipped his hand into the water, letting it wash over his fingers as he sighed in content.

He hasn't been coming here long, but something happened five months ago, something that made him keep coming back. And he himself, wasn't sure as to why. He thought he must've been crazy. Seeing things due to his rough state at the time. But he just had to make sure.

He needed to make sure that what he saw that day, wasn't his mind playing a trick on him.

His thoughts vanished, hearing soft splashes from the water as Taehyun shot his head up, looking as the man's head popped up from the water. His ears were pointy, his hair light blue and eyes dark black.

His skin seemed translucent and glittery, his features sharp yet fair as he made his way towards Taehyun. He never fully came up on shore, his tail not allowing him easy access to come up, but Taehyun didn't care.

This creature was like a drug to him. He could never get enough.

Taehyun looked down, spotting the creatures webbed like hands, noticing how small they were compared to his own. Taehyun reached out, laying his hand against the creatures cheek, watching how the other leaned into his touch.

Taehyun didn't know anything about him, the other never speaking a word. Taehyun spoke to him, however, he never got a response. Just the other looking at him with adoration, occasionally cocking their head. Taehyun began to assume the other didn't understand him or spoke his language, but that never kept Taehyun from speaking to him.

The sun was going down, the two still looking at each other and sending one other soft, subtle touches until Taehyun's stomach growled. Beomgyu backed up, going back into the water as Taehyun tried stopping him, but his voice was useless as he watched the creature swim away.

Taehyun cursed under his breath, cursing his stomach for startling the creature with a small sound. Going to walk away, hoping the creature would come back tomorrow, Taehyun was stopped with the sound of splashing water, and a small squeak calling out to him.

Turning around, Taehyun was met with the creature, a dead fish in its mouth as he dropped it on the shore, indicating for Taehyun to take it and eat. Taehyun was speechless, making his way back towards Beomgyu, cupping his face gently in between his hands as he laughed.

"Can you understand me? How did you know I was hungry?" Taehyun said, more to himself than Beomgyu as Beomgyu felt his heart race, his cheeks turning pink as he looked in Taehyun's eyes.

"I knew you were a genius, I knew you could understand me" Taehyun whispered, watching the way Beomgyu's eyes began to glow, his face cold and wet, yet his touch warm to the heart.

"Thank you." Taheyun told him, watching Beomgyu scoot the fish closer to Taehyun with his nose, watching Taehyun make a confused face before hesitantly taking the fish.

"I usually eat it cooked, so I'll cook and prepare it at home okay?" Taheyun told him, watching at Beomgyu cocked his head to the side, continuing to stare, however he began moving closer and closer up to shore.

Taehyun was speechless, startled even as he fell back slightly, landing on his back as Beomgyu got on top of him. Taehyun was hypnotized, looking into his eyes as Beomgyu leaned down, sniffing at Taehyun's neck and hair as Taehyun held his breath, afraid to move or make any noise, not wanting to scare Beomgyu away.

Water dripped from Beomgyu's hair, landing on Taehyun's face as Taehyun shivered from his cold touch, his shirt getting wet and drenched from Beomgyu's body being pressed up against his own. Beomgyu said nothing, yet leaned down, placing his lips softly against Taehyun's.

Taehyun felt the heat rise to his cheeks, his chest rising quickly as he could feel his heartbeat race in his chest. Beomgyu suddenly got off, his tail slowly disappearing as he was left naked, on full display. Taehyun was in shock, staying silent as Beomgyu panicked, realizing what he just did.

Why did he just kiss someone without their permission?!!!

Beomgyu turned away, his legs wobbly as he never used them before, only gaining legs once you kiss the one you love. He also wanted to speak, now able to communicate with Taehyun after kissing him, but he was too afraid that Taehyun would be disgusted by him.

Beomgyu went to swim away, but he was met with Taehyun calling out to him, pleading him to stay, and to not leave.

Beomgyu turned around, only his torso visible, too afraid to come out of the water as he realized how exposed he was.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kissed you like that unexpectedly. It was wrong of me to do that without asking, but I just really wanted to talk to you" Beomgyu whispered.

Taehyun jumped up, making his way into the water, not caring how cold it was, not caring that he was getting soaked. Cupping Beomgyu's face with his hands, Taehyun laughed out loud, still shocked as he leaned his forehead against Beomgyu's.

"Y-You can talk?" Taheyun choked out, feeling Beomgyu's breath against his lips as Beomgyu was startled, his cheeks turning pink as he couldn't think straight.

"W-why are you in the water? I-it's t-too cold for you. What if you g-get sick?" Beomgyu stuttered, but Taehyun shushed him, holding him close as Taehyun examined him, noticing how Beomgyu was more human like than before.

"You never spoke to me before..." Taehyun whispered, his voice trailing off as Beomgyu looked down.

"It's because I kissed you. After kissing the one you love, y-you are able to communicate with them and turn human" Beomgyu told him, watching as Taehyun took in all the information that was given to him.

"You love me?" Taehyun whispered, knowing Beomgyu wouldn't lie to him.

"Yes" Beomgyu whispered, feeling Taehyun kiss him, pulling away before Taehyun spoke once more.

"Can you wait here for a bit? I'm going to run home and get you some clothes hmm? I want you to stay with me if you want. I'll treat you well, I promise" Taehyun whispered, watching Beomgyu's eyes widen in shock.

"Yeah, I would like...Taehyun" Beomgyu told him, watching Taehyun turn away to hide the smile on his face.

"I know I never told you, as you just called me 'Fishy', but my name is Beomgyu."

"Well then Beomgyu, I'll be back later with some clothes for you. So please don't go anywhere and stay safe for me" Taehyun whispered, watching Beomgyu blush as he nodded his head.

"I'll stay right here.~" <3
