“Good evening little miss Deviella” the woman smiled brightly at me.
She looks elegant and classy like mom.
“Ahhmmm…. just call me by my name Harrah po” I smiled back at her and sat back.
“oh, sorry you were just a little deviella when I last saw you” the woman chuckled “ok then and please… call me tita and this is your tito” she winked at me.
Last saw me? Means nagkita na kami dati? I can't remember, what does it mean?
I nodded in response nalang and smiled.
“I'm your Tito Thomas and this is your Tita Carol, nice to meet you Harrah, you're really gorgeous huh” he chuckled.
“Nice to meet you din po… t-tito and thank you” I stuttered when I called him tito. It feels awkward kaya.
“and hija... ” Tito gave me a playful look.
“This is Ethan and Ethan this is Harrah” pagpapakilala ni tito.
Bakit anong meron? Bakit may pakilala pakilala ng nalalaman huh?
“you're engaged harrah” singit ni dad.
“what!?” my brows furrowed.
All this time ay napaka clueless ko. Bakit nga ba nag imbita si daddy ng pamilya dito with their son.
“what?” dad raised a brow and look at me. Para bang sinasabi niyang bakit may angal ka. Hayss kainis.
Hindi ko man lang alam na engaged na pala ako. Can't I decide?
“So he's my fiancé?”
“you're right!” his mom said.
“you're engaged to my son darling” tito said and he proudly tapped his son's shoulder.
“By the way, here's the engagement ring, may pangalan niyo ang bawat singsing” Tito said and handed us a small red box.
I opened the box and to my surprise the ring was more elegant than I thought. There is a diamond crystal in the middle and Ethan's name was grave in there. Wow!
“Ethan, go and greet her,” his dad commanded.
Napatingin ako kay Ethan agad.
Napakunot noo siya sa sinabi ni tito at parang naiinis. Ah so hindi niya din pala gustong ikasal, napilitan lang. Ok well parehas pala kami.
“Hi, my name is Ethan Kiel Amirez nice to meet you” he smiled. Fake smile. As if naman na totoo. Halatang napipilitan lang at tinatago ang inis.
“Ethan, what are you? a school kid?” Tito's forehead creased.
“what should I say then?” sambat niya.
Ang bangis niya nagagawa pa niyang pumatol sa daddy niya. I envy him. How I wish I could talk back.
“it's fine tito, I'm Akiaharrah Zouie Deviella it's nice to meet you too” of course not, walang nice sayo. It's a lie. Itsura palang nakasimangot na.
Hindi man lang siya umimik. Parang hindi niya narinig ang sinabi ko. Nagmukha tuloy akong tanga. Hindi ako masyadong tumitingin sa kanya dahil ayoko. He looks intimidating.
