CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT
#LASS_mealNasa office ako ngayon. Busy sa digital design ng bahay.
I dropped off Zia to her grandparents. Mom misses her so much already. Favorite na talaga nilang hobbie ay ipasyal si Zia.
While I was busy someone knocked on my door.
“come in” sabi ko.
Hindi ako tumingin kung sino iyo dahil busy ako.
“let's celebrate”
Napatingin ako sa boses na iyon.
He was dressed in casual clothes. He wore a v-neck sweater vest with a plain short sleeve inside and an off white trouser. He looks like an idol. I really admire his soft features despite his personality.
Napatingin ako sa suot ko bigla. I wore a short black fitted skirt and white sleeve loose polo with all buttons undone and black spaghetti tank top inside.
Nahiya ako sa kanya. He looks modest than me. Kung ipagtabi kami pwede na kaming tawaging hell and heaven.
“you look different today” tumayo ako.
“I dressed up like this so what's new?”
“I didn't know” you dressed up like that. Parating naka formal attire kaya to kaya minsan ko lang nakikita mag casual. umiwas ako ng tingin at itinuon sa computer na nasa harapan ko.
Naramdaman Kong natigilan siya saglit. Oh my ghad did I hit the spot?
In my peripheral vision, he shook his head first before speaking “by the way let's go” he said.
My eyes widened at mag rereklamo na sana ako pero hinila na niya ako bigla.
“where are we going?” I asked him nang nasa sasakyan niya na kami.
“I told you you'll make it up to me right?” he said, eyes glued to the road.
My lips parted and took a sigh as I crossed my arms on my chest.
“so… where are we going then?” I look at him.
“you’ll cook for me” he simply said.
Napabalikwas ako ng upo at tumingin sa kanya.
“do what?” I said with brows knotted.
“you heard it right” a small evil smirk plastered on his face as he tilted the steering wheel to the left.
****
I don't know how many times I blinked my eyes just to believe that I was stepping on his condo’s floor, I wasn't counting. This is his new condo.
Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya nang ilagay niya ang car key niya sa lalagyan ng box near the door. Am I imagining things right now?
He unbuckled his dress shirt cuffs and rolled it to his elbow and he untied his necktie as he unbuttoned the three buttons on his dress shirt. Nakatingin lang ako sa bawat galaw niya, still processing what's happening not until when I felt something hitting my forehead kaya napa ngiwi ako
“ah!” I touched my forehead.
“done watching?” A deep voice said.
I mentally cursed when I realized who it was. Did he just flick my forehead?
