CHAPTER FORTY
#LASS_whatsmine?
I don't understand myself recently. I feel like I'm not in my usual self. I don't know where it started though.
“Harrah?”
Napabalik ako sa katinuan ng maglatag ng coffee cup si Luke sa harapan ko.
He goes here just to annoy me at ipamukha na day off niya ngayon. This guy really.
“please get out” matalim ko siyang tinignan.
“binigyan na nga ng kape-”
“luke!”
He dramatically acts and holds onto his chest like he was just hit by an arrow.
“harrah hindi mo na ba ako love?” he pouted.
“fck off Luther Kiyeno!” sigaw ko.
“scary Harrah” pang-aasar niya.
I swallow the lump of my throat and I divert my gaze to his.
“Now mind me if I can enjoy my day today without your presence by my side?” I smiled at him. Fake of course! He doesn't deserve that for ruining my mood.
“copy ssob, sorry” nag peace sign pa siya.
“jerk!” I shouted nang makalabas siya. Narinig ko pa ang malakas niyang pagtawa.
He's so good for ruining my mood huh!
To ease the feeling that I'm feeling in right now. I decided to go out nalang. Tapos naman ako sa gawain ko.
I called dad earlier to pick up Zia from them but he begged na sa kanya lang daw muna si Zia.
Wala akong nagawa but to sigh heavily. Just dad and his longing for Zia.
Nang lumabas ako sa office ko ay napadaan ako sa office ni Ethan. Two days na siyang absent and I don't know why and besides I don't have the courage and gut to text nor call him. Bahala siya.
While I'm walking I got a text from tita Carol.
FROM: Tita Carol
- hi hija, long time no see
- just wanna talk to you in person if that's fine with you?
Talk to me? For what?
TO: Tita Carol
sure tita! where po ba?
Hindi ko alam but my heart throbbed rapidly.
Maya maya nag beep ang phone ko. Tita texted me the location kaya pupunta nalang ako.
When I arrived at my destination, my legs were wobbling from nervousness.
I immediately saw tita from the table she reserve kaya pinuntahan ko na siya.
She greeted me with a big smile and hugged me as she motioned me to sit down.
“Harrah….”
Napatingin ako kay tita “po?”
“I'm sorry for taking your time” tita said.
“tita it's fine po… as long as kayo po” kinindatan ko pa siya kaya natawa siya.
“still you and your silliness” natatawang sabi ni tita.
“naman po” I chuckled.
I heard her sigh heavily na para bang nahihirapan siyang sabihin sa akin.
