Today I decided to play my last hope. I know I'm going to lose so I'm going to do it.
“Ethan” I called him when I saw her going out.
Hindi niya ako nilingon at diretso-diretso lang ang lakad niya.
“Ethan!” I shouted once again.
Huminto siya sa paglalakad at humarap sa akin. His expression was rough. Parang galit at naiinis siya.
“Ethan, can we go out for today?” I asked, crossing my fingers at the back. Hoping na pumayag siya.
“I'm busy I need to go to Ash” sabi niya at tumalikod
“puro Ash na naman” napatingin siya sa akin bigla when he heard what I just said. His brow arches.
“what did you say?” pumunta siya sa akin.
“Just this once Ethan,” I said.
“why would I?” panghahamon niya.
“I need… y-you” I looked away.
“what?”
“stop playing dumb Ethan I know that you already knew that I like you… ito lang hinihingi ko just this once please and… ”
“and what?” hindi makatimping sabi niya.
“and after this… we're done” I looked down.
“What do you mean?”
“I'll help you to cancel our wedding” I firmly said.
“What about our family?”
“i’ll talk to them?”
Hindi siya sumagot at nag iisip pa siya.
“deal?” I asked.
“What made you decide to make this deal?” he said with curiosity.
I was stunned for a second dahil hindi ko alam kung ano ang isasagot ko. Siguro alam kong talo na ako?
“Uhm… I felt lost” mahinang sabi. Parang hangin lang ang lumabas sa bibig ko.
“lost?”
“talo na ako eh” I sarcastically laugh.
“what if I don't want to?”
“There's no way that you wouldn't accept my offer, we're talking about Ash right?” I asked.
“Why is she involv-”
“I know so damn well that you like her and I know na naka imprint na sa isip mo na siya lang dadalhin mo sa altar and… besides I don't want to marry a man who loves someone else, I can't live in that situation and it would kill me day by day if that'll happen” I explained.
I saw how his expression softened.
“Is it because of yesterday? you ran away” he said.
Natahimik ako bigla sa sinabi niya. I don't know what to say.
“Zouie–”
“Ethan if you don't want to accept it it's ok, I'm going to call off the wedding anyway” I smiled at lalakad na sana but someone grabbed my wrist.
