“they're going down,” I heard Tita shouted.
Pagbaba pa lang namin ni Ethan ay pumunta na agad kami sa dine in table.
“so… ” tita uttered.
I cleared my throat and looked away. Parang alam ko na kung saan ito patutungo. I can bear it in front of his Parents.
I faked a laugh “so… good morning po tita, tito” I greeted them.
They smiled at me.
“should we dig in?” Ethan suggested.
Ethan and I tried to avoid the topic but Tita seems not aware of that.
“Before that, anong itong sinasabi ng mommy mo na you're really excited daw?” his dad said while munching on food.
Nagkatinginan kami ni Ethan but I was the first who looked away.
“Ahh…dad it's not like that-”
“it's fine son, malaki na kayo” tita uttered.
“Ok lang naman but you should face the consequences” Tito said.
I swallowed hard because of their topic. It wasn't like that. Tita misunderstood us.
“mom you misunderstood us, we're just... ” napatingin si Ethan sa akin.
I awkwardly look away.
“just… ” tita's face was so confused.
“Just sleeping, nothing happened, right Zouie?”
My heart started to beat rapidly.
“hmm” I smiled.
After that topic, Ethan was eager to change the topic kaya hinayaan ko na siya. I was minding my own business while they were busy talking about some stuff.
“Harrah, do you want to transfer school?” Tito offered.
My eyes widened.
“ahmm… ” I look at Ethan. His lips parted.
“Dad, Zouie don't need that”
“I didn't ask your opinion” Tito glared at him.
I bit my lower lip. I know Ethan won't like that idea. Mas lalo lang siyang magagalit sa akin.
“Tito, Ethan was right” I uttered.
“Ok, just tell me if you change your mind”
I nodded.
I saw in my peripheral vision that Ethan was looking at me. If stares can kill, I'm maybe in my grave right now.
“Oh.. Ethan, your dad and I have something important to attend right now, will head first” Tita stood up.
Nang mawala na sila sa paningin namin, Ethan spoke up.
“Don't you dare ro change your mind” he stood up, leaving me in shock.
Without thinking twice I called him.
“Ethan!” I ran towards him.
“What now?” He annoyedly faced me.
I don't know how to answer him. Basta basta na lang kasing bumukas ang bibig ko.
