That all too familiar feeling filled your body as you laid in bed next to Jude, your eyes flew open immediately forming a frown on your face.
You sunk your head deeper into Jude's chest and sucked in a deep breath, enjoying the last few moments of comfort and warmth before you rushed towards the bathroom.
The sight that you knew far too well confirming the cramping pain that was starting to get more intense.
You cleaned yourself up and began doing your morning routine, a few minutes later the cramps hit you like a tone of bricks, you crouched down holding onto the sink for support. Your spare hand flew over your mouth trying to block out the groans of pain as you didn't want to wake Jude up, but it didn't work.
"Baby?" Jude croaked out questioningly as he noticed you weren't in bed with him.
You tried to respond but you couldn't get the sound to come out of your mouth. You sat on the floor clutching onto your stomach as a stray tear fell from your eye.
Jude got out of bed and made his way into the bathroom, his sleepy eyes fell on you and his expression filled with concern immediately.
"Baby what's happened" Jude crouched down in front of you. His voice full of worry and fear.
"Cramps." You manage to squeeze out, your voice coming out in a hushed whisper, every inch of your body was in pain, you felt your skin fill with goosebumps and you began to shiver.
"Aww baby, I'm so sorry gorgeous." Jude said as he lifted you into his arms, you desperately held onto him, Jude's presence always made you feel relaxed, he was the only thing that helped when you were on your period and he knew that.
Jude rubbed his big hands over your body to try and get rid of the chill that had crept up on you, he held you close to his chest as he walked back towards your shared bed.
"I hate seeing you like this baby" Jude said as he placed you down in bed. He pressed his lips to your forehead as he stroked your cheek.
"Baby, I'm just going to go and get you some medicine ok, I'll bring you something to eat as well, I won't be long." Jude said as he looked at you with hurt in his eyes.
"Please no" was all you managed to say, your voice was weak as you spoke you could hardly see Jude that was standing in front of you, the pain causing your eyes to blur.
"Baby I have to, you'll feel better with some medicine and some food" Jude said pressing his lips to your forehead again.
"I need you." You said opening your eyes a bit bigger, you could see Jude's stressed expression, you reached out for his cheek and placed your hand over it.
Jude wrapped his arms around you and lifted you, resting you against his strong body. Your body relaxed as you were no longer worried about Jude leaving you.
"Thank you." You whispered timidly as you clutched onto him.
"Alright princess, I've got you." Jude said as he walked down to the kitchen.
He held you against him with one hand as you rested your head onto his shoulder, Jude began making a coffee and a toast with his spare hand, you felt bad that you were being so needy but you just couldn't be without him on the first day of your period.
"I'm so sorry" you whispered against his neck.
"Don't say that baby, I'd do anything for you, this is nothing." Jude said as he pressed his lips to your shoulder and continued to butter your toast.
Jude placed your hot water bottle, coffee, toast and medicine on a tray and picked it up with his free hand and made his way back up to your bedroom.
He set you down on your side of the bed, the pain was getting worse by the second, you shrieked in pain as you felt a stabbing sensation in your lower back.
"Baby?! Baby are you ok?" Jude asked you as he lifted your face, he needed to see your eyes so he could read how you were feeling.
"I'm ok" you struggled to say as your tried to hide pain in your face. Jude's eyes dampened slightly, he knew you were lying.
"This isn't fair, why does this happen to you baby" Jude said kissing you softly. He picked up the hot water bottle and placed it against your lower stomach, the heat soothed your stomach slightly as you let out a satisfied sigh.
Jude picked up a piece of toast and placed it near your mouth. You shook your head no as you couldn't bring yourself to eat while you were in this much pain.
"Please baby, you've got to eat something before you take the medicine." Jude said as he touched your forehead to gage your temperature.
"I can't baby." You responded while a deep frown.
"Please my love, for me baby, I can't see you like this, eat something for me." Jude said as he kissed your forehead.
You could see tears brimming his eyes and you knew you had to eat something to settle his nerves, even though you felt like you were going to throw up you took a bite of the toast that Jude was holding near your mouth.
"Thank you babe" Jude said with a weak smile, you felt sick, you wanted to spit it out, but the joy on Jude's face was enough to convince you to continue eating.
You ate half a toast and Jude gave you some medicine to take, you drank some of your coffee and laid against Jude's chest, his hands instinctively rubbed on you lower back and lower stomach, his touch was calming for you.
Jude spoke softly in your ear, trying to distract you from the pain, his voice traveled through you, relaxing you more and more by the second.
After a few hours of laying in Jude's arms you began to feel much better you looked up at him to realise he was staring down at you.
"How are you feeling beautiful?" He asked, his voice was gentle and kind.
"Better, thank you." You said smiling up at him. He placed his lips to yours and kissed you lovingly.
"We've got to look into how we can get rid of the pain, it's too much." Jude said still concerned.
"I know baby, trust me it's terrible, but there's nothing we can do, painkillers and cuddles is the only remedy." You smiled. Jude leant in again and kiss your lips.
"Orrr, I could put a baby in you, that means no periods for 9 months." Jude said wiggling his eyebrows making you laugh a little.
"And then I'll have to go through the birth pain, I think I'm good, one day though." You said shrugging your shoulders.
Jude pulled your head to his chest again as he laughed and kissed your hair.
"I love you princess." He said softly while he stroked against your back.
"I love you too baby." You said closing your eyes as you felt the comfort of being in Jude's presence wash over you.
