You heard your phone buzz as you adjusted your outfit in the mirror, you picked up your phone and saw a message from Jude.
"I'm outside, but take your time x" you read with a smile on your face.
You grabbed your hand bag and made your way down to the hotel lobby. You walked outside and spotted Jude in an all black range with tinted windows.
He smiled and waved over to you as you approached his car,
"Hi" You said as you hopped into the passenger seat.
"Hey, I would normally open the door for you but there are way too many people here and it's probably best if we don't draw too much attention to ourselves." Jude said as he pulled off and began to drive.
"It's fine, and you're right, the last thing we need are our faces plastered across every news paper." You chuckled "so where are we going?" You asked as you looked over at Jude who was somewhat focused on the road in front of him.
"We're going to my favourite little cafe, the owners are the sweetest old couple ever, I love it there." Jude said with a bright smile.
"That's so cute, I love old people." You chuckled in response.
"So do I" Jude laughed as he looked over at you and held eye contact, his eyes flickered down to your lips for a split second before his gaze refocused on on your eyes.
You scanned Jude's face and couldn't help but focus on how beautiful he was, you didn't realise how long you were staring at each other until the sound of a horn startled the both of you, pulling your attention back to the road.
"Fuck, sorry" Jude said as he placed a protective arm across your body as he swerved quickly out of harms way while you grabbed onto his arm for safety.
"It's fine" you said as you let out the breath you were holding in as you let go of Jude's arm.
"I think I'll just keep my eyes on the road for now, we're almost there, thank god" Jude said chuckling at what had just happened
"You look beautiful by the way" Jude said with his eyes fixed on the road in front of him.
"Thank you." You responded softly, grateful for the fact that Jude was facing away from you so he couldn't see the blush forming on your cheeks
You chuckled lightly in response and soon later you pulled up to the little cafe.
"Wow this place is so cute." You said as you looked out of the window.
"I know, no one knows about it, and I love it." Jude said as he hopped out of the car and rushed around to help you out of the passenger seat.
"Thank you" you smiled up at him as you both walked up to the cafe.
"Hi Stella, how are you" Jude smiled as he hugged the owner of the restaurant.
"Hello my gorgeous darling boy, I'm very well, it's lovely to see you, and I see you have brought a lady with you for once." Stella said in a thick Italian accent with a cute laugh.
"Yeah, this is y/n" Jude smiled as he looked at you.
"Hi, it's lovely to meet you" you said as the short and round lady pulled you in for a hug.
"And you darling, you are so very beautiful" she said as she cupped your face in her hands and smiled.
"Thank you so much" you smiled softly
"Polite as well, I like this girl, good choice Jude." She said as she rubbed his cheek "now let me find you a nice table." She said as she waddled deeper into the cafe.
