"I've heard something nearby."

Lynn said quietly as she looked around.

"It could've been an animal, but the footsteps, they... they lack dignity."

"Interesting..." the doctor muttered with an understanding nod, acknowledging Lynn's vague reasoning.

"Please remain here while I scan the area." Lynn requested as she promptly began climbing a large tree next to her.

Using both her hands and feet, she climbed the large trunk like a ladder, disappearing in the thick branches and leaves.

After reaching a height that gave her a good view of the area, she placed her feet on a thick branch and began scanning the area.

"Tsk-- I can't see from here." she whispered annoyedly as she jumped onto a lower branch on a different tree.

She switched trees this way several times, distancing herself from the tree she initially climbed. Finally, she located the creatures that made the sound she had sensed earlier.

Indeed, two goblins were traversing the forest. Both wore a plate armour that could be described as humble and unrefined. However, both the armour and their spears were quite well made, considering most goblins made their spears out of sharpened sticks and rocks, or leftovers from fallen adventurers if they were in luck.

Lynn didn't hesitate, taking the bow off her back and aiming at one of the goblins.

With a faint whistle, the arrow zipped past dozens of trees, hitting the goblin between his eyes.

The other beast took a second to register what had happened, but it didn't get a chance to do a much as scream before an arrow pierced its chest.

Lynn sighed quietly as she began lowering herself to the ground with small leaps. The trio on the ground noticed her in the trees, turning to her.

"Two goblins were patrolling the area. I took them out." the girl informed them casually.

"Very clean." the doctor grinned. "Your speed and stealth are remarkable. You could work as an assassin."

"Thank you. Is the nest close?"

The doctor revealed the vibrating stone in his hand at her question. Compared to last night, the vibrations were now much more frequent and intense.

"It should be in the area. We may discover more scouts as we draw closer. Please remain vigilant."

The skyborn nod, and they resume walking.

Minutes went by as the group sneaked around the area. Every couple of minutes they would find a goblin duo guarding the area. Each time they did, Lynn would casually and swiftly silence them.

"It is curious how many scouts this nest seems to have." pointed the doctor out. "It would be expected for a nest located within a prominent landmark like an abandoned castle. There's no such structure in the area, however. The nest is well-hidden..."

"What does the stone say?" Ivan asked. looking over the doctors shoulder.

"Judging by the vibrations, we should be within eyeshot of the nest. And yet..."

The doctor looks around, prompting Ivan to do the same

"There is nothing." murmured the doctor. "Let's press forth."

About ten more minutes pass as the group kept searching. Along the way, Lynn took out two more scouts.

"This is most curious..." the doctor said under his breath.
