Chapter 6: Facing her coldness

Ares pov

I arrive in New York feeling annoyed that I had to spend hours with Kylie bitching about my sister stealing her modeling contracts she still had the nerve to ask, "Between your sister and me who will you choose," the nerve she has I mean she is not my wife yet but she gave me alternative like that. We then arrive at one of my penthouses as I will be staying in New York for business for a couple of weeks maybe even months if business does not go well it all depends. I think it's time to head off to Destiny Weds. 

We arrive at a medium modern-sized building, I get out of the car and head for the entrance as Kylie and I are waking we bump into Eric Wilson a male model Kylie used to work with, Kylie then quickly runs and hugs Eric and kisses him on the cheek they then chat it's more like flirting but it's nothing I'm not used too so I just walk on. I then go to the reception table to tell her I made an appointment, a lady comes down what I assume is the assistant then leads the way.

I was right when I assumed she was an assistant because she told me about working for the best boss ever well we walking and she also told me that's she one of my biggest fans.

We finally arrive at two big doors she then leads me in as I'm walking in I get a notification on my phone I lift my head only to see a familiar pair of doe eyes, those doe eyes still haunt me cause I remember her eyes welled up with tears that night.

I look at Rhea because it's been years since I last saw her she was always beautiful but to say she is even more beautiful now is an understatement. For a minute we haven't as much spoken a word we just keep looking at each other I don't know what to say I'm still in shock.

I did not even notice when Kylie came in as I was too busy staring at Rhea, Kylie must have gotten annoyed as she was trying to speak to me and I was not listening cause she dragged me to sit in one of the chairs in front of Rhea. I must say I am proud of Rhea she became a top wedding planner I can also see she changed a lot in the way she carries herself now.

Kylie does the talking about what her dream wedding wants and I just stare at the beauty in front of me i mean you can't blame I missed that beautiful face that cute smile. I then hear Kylie being bitchy towards Rhea saying we are probably the best clients she ever had I was going to intervene but it seemed  Rhea had it all under control as she makes it clear she doesn't need us luckily Kylie gets a call and walks out that leaves me more time to collect my thoughts.

''I tried looking for you," I say all Rhea does is just look at me carrying on with her work that must be her way of ignoring me and it hurts I miss everything about her I wonder if I never said those hurtful words to her that would our friendship still have remained would she have put a wall between us as she does now, "How are you, Rhea?" I then ask, but she still ignores me which is beginning to fucking frustrate me

"Rhea please talk to me I haven't spoken to you in years," I must have made her mad because lifts her head looking at me, and snapped, "Listen to her Mr. Walker I only discuss things regarding your wedding and it's Ms. Naidoo to you so stay within your limits or get yourself a new wedding planner,"

Yep this Rhea changed so much and I can't say I don't like her feistiness, it will be a lie because the feisty her is hot. I soon see Kylie walking in and saying she will go with Rhea as her wedding planner I'm actually in shock I thought Kylie would say she does not want this wedding planner company oh well it's good for me as I will be spending more time with Rhea. I look at Rhea and smirk.

I realise it's time for us to get going Kylie is the first one out of the door i then say, "Looks like we will be seeing each other more often," I say looking at her and walking out of the door.

A few hours later I am getting ready to meet a business associate of mine at a restaurant. Kylie said she would be going out for a bit of shopping but I don't believe that. I finally arrive at the Restaurant and see my business associate at a table we discuss some things regarding business.

I feel someone's eyes on me I turn around to look just to see Rhea staring at me she must have noticed I noticed because she then started making conversation with that guy sitting with I just realized there is a man she is having dinner with I clench my jaw thinking to myself is that her boyfriend, husband or her friend the thought of her being with someone else's arms makes me see red I don't know why I am even bothered years ago I saw as my friend what so different now.

She gets up from her table excusing herself from that mother fucker I then get up from my table telling my business associate I will be right back.

I follow her just as she is about to reach the bathroom I grab her and push her against the wall she must be in a panic as she tries fighting me thinking I'm a stranger she is so cute using her soft arms to push me off her she then stares into my eyes noticing it's me I then touch her waist taking a hold of her I then ask her feeling my blood is boiling with rage

" Who is that you talking to?" I ask and she replies staring into my face with a serious expression," It's none of your fucking business, Mr. Walker," I then pull her towards me and bend down to whisper into her ear "I'm making it my business," she then looks at me and asks

"Why do you even care who I speak to from what I know we do not share any form of relationship," I don't even know what to say to her so be honest.

"You know when I saw you laugh with that guy I kept on thinking about the friendship we used to have, that used to be me you were laughing with and I can't  handle the fact that guy isn't me," she then looks at me and smacks me

"Get your fucking hands off me and I don't care how you feel, you were a friend from my past and you will remain a friend from my past we just share a professional relationship now so fuck off," she then pushes me off of her and walks away.

I punch the wall in frustration her words repeating in my head about me being in her past and that I will remain in her past. 

I laugh to myself she is fucking insane to think I will just give her up and pretend like we are strangers. I then went home phoning my associate I was not feeling well so I went straight home I then went to shower and leaned my head against the shower wall the water poured down onto me as Rhea's words repeated over in my head I then got out of the shower with a towel wrapped around my waist. 

I phone my PA to get Rhea Naidoo's number which she sends me in minutes i then type Rhea a message saying,

"Past, present, and future they all link up, no matter what you say Rhea I will always be your Ares and you will always be my Rhea, friends till the end and I give two fucks about what you say about our professional relationship".  She must be delusional to think I will care what she says regarding our professional relationship she will be in my present and future either as a friend or more.
