Chapter 9: Mistakes from the pass

I chatted with the manager of Malibu Beach Club about the wedding and what Kylie is looking for in particular a wedding. I then see Ares arriving in all black walking with complete arrogance he greets the manager and we discuss the wedding plans which Ares does not even bother giving his input about. I could feel him the whole time throughout the conversation staring at me, I just kept avoiding his gaze.

"I will discuss the final details with you as from what you told me about Mr. Ares Walker that he would love the wedding in July. I will make an opening for their wedding day also do want the whole beach view?" the manager asks

I was about to say yes as that is what Kylie wanted but Ares interrupts and says, "Do you mind if we check the place I don't want to spend my money on something not worth it," Ares looks around the venue, the manger of course says yes.

I then give Ares an indication that he can look around without my input as it's his wedding he just has to tell me what he wants me to do and what color theme he wants in certain areas.

"I think it's highly unprofessional that you not taking notes Ms. Naidoo i mean you have to view the place with me to take notes on my dislikes and likes," Ares says with a grin on his place.

I look at him so he wants to play this game now, fine I will show him I'm not bothered by his attitude and his sudden need to show professionalism," Sure Mr. Walker lead the way,"

I have been following him for ages on this beach until he decides to turn around and say, "It's beautiful here isn't it,"

I look at him why did he stop to say this all of a sudden, "A beach is beautiful but lakes are more peaceful it describes a feeling of life finding its true self the silence means everything," I say.

Ares looks at me in my eyes and something twinkles in his eyes," You miss the lake back home, don't you?"

I look away from him and I look towards the beach and say, "I can't miss something that is a reminder of my past."

Ares then looks taken aback by what I said," Your past wasn't so bad you had everything, you had a lavish lifestyle, had friends and you had me," he says.

I feel the need to laugh at the last part, he should be a comedian," First of all a lavish lifestyle does not make a person happy, it's just materialistic things, you can have the world and still not be happy sometimes it's the smallest moments or things that counts also I never had you," I say.

Something makes Ares so mad cause he comes in front of me pulling me towards him so we chest to chest, "Rhea you had me I was your best friend you could always count on me," he says

I look at him feeling the need to cry but I can't let him see my tears, "You say I was your best friend but you are one of the reasons I left, that night you destroyed my honor I had no one besides Layla that was with me I saw your true face".

Ares looks hurt as I say those words," I was still in shock when I heard you have feelings for me I mean my best friend that I knew for years told me she had feelings for me well I have a girlfriend how did you expect me to react," he says.

"I expected you to act like my friend and not insult me, calling me disgusting, and if not as my friend as a basic human being you have utterly no clue how much that can destroy a woman as you disrespect her honor," I say feeling my voice break down.

"You had fucking feelings for me when I told you I had feelings for Kylie and I did not know what you expected me to do I would not have left the girl I love for my friend if that was what you were expecting me to do then you were mistaken. I loved you Rhea but I was not in love with you," he says.
