He puts the phone on his ear as he bites his lip, waiting for the person to answer and he does."Hello."Mr Khumalo answers with his faint voice.
"Hello,Mr Khumalo."Sandile answers and Calvin hears since Sandile puts him on loudspeaker after Mr Khumalo asked the phone."I hope you are okay sir,my name is Sandile Dlamini and I want to talk to you with regards to Sithelo Khumalo."
"I don't know who that is!"The man shouts when he hears Sithelo's name."Don't ever call me again."
"Wait sir. Mr Khumalo,your daughter needs you."Sandile says and Mr Khumalo tightens his hold on the phone.
"And I don't need her. Don't call this number again or you'll soon regret it."Mr Khumalo says and drops the call. Sandile and Calvin nods his head.
"He's a tough cookie to break."Calvin sits on the desk and folds his arms."I'll have to go and visit him."
"Are you sure about that?"Sandile asks with a widen eyebrow,he looks at the paper infront of him and gives it to Calvin.
Calvin takes it and skims through the paper."Mr Vusimuzi Khumalo is a former drug lord in the 90's,the police were looking for him so he had to run away and left Mrs Asanda Khumalo alone to raise their beautiful daughter."
Calvin opens his mouth and rubs his eyes."Let's go. The address is there,right."
Sandile widens his eyes."What are you doing?This guy is from Pietermaritzburg and you are trying to get him to talk."
"What?"Calvin shakes his head while he takes his car keys and phone."I'm trying to get him to talk to Sithelo,I can't stand seeing Sithelo crying at night because he said bad things to her."
Calvin turns to look at his brother."I need food and I'll stay in the car so he doesn't see me."
"Okay, anything right now is fine as long as I talk to him."Calvin says,they walk downstairs and finally to the door. Sithelo opens the door and they both smile.
"Going somewhere."Sithelo says and Calvin nods his head.
"I want to go with you,dad."Calvin looks down seeing that Diamond said that and he shakes his head.
"I'm going to work,they called me in."Calvin says while rubbing the back of his head and Sithelo looks at him. Behind him stood Sandile and she narrows her eyes."Please give her food and make sure she's asleep when I come back."Calvin says while looking at Sithelo.
"Calv-"
"Please, Sithelo."Calvin says while coming close to her,he holds her cheek and caresses."I'll owe you a favor,just this one favor."
Sithelo looks at him and then at Sandile. Her heart is beating fast and she sighs."Fine."Calvin smiles and kisses her lips.
"Thank you,Makhumalo."She nods her head, Calvin and Sandile quickly move away from the door, Calvin kisses his daughter's forehead."Dad loves you, Diamond."
