I walk outside and see his car. He has a different driver from the one in Durban,my eyes are looking at the driver as he opens the door at the back. I kind of miss him and I feel sorry for him about how I have been treating him.
I see him staring at me and I feel my legs get weak. I rub my hands while taking deep soft breaths. He shifts over and I enter into the car."Thanks."I tell the driver as he closes the door.I look at him while I buckle the seatbelt and smile."Hey."
"Hey."He smiles and laughs."You are something else,shame."
"I was just curious,okay."
"Curiosity killed a cat."He says as he takes my hand."It's fine through,I forgive you."I nod my head and smile.
"Apology accepted,I am never going through any lengths to find out the truth unless you feel comfortable telling me."
He looks at me while caresses my hand...
We get to the restaurant that is just outside Midrand and the car parks."I want to make this extra special for us."He says as he helps me out of the car and we walk to the elevator. We enter the elevator and the doors close. He rests his hand on my waist,I look forward and I feel his stare on me."How have you been,though?"
"I have been okay and I passed my test."
He looks at me with widen eyes."That is amazing and it is your second year?"
I look up and shake my head."This is my first year. I took a gap year to grow my audience to be an influencer so my mom sat me down and had me decide between nursing and social worker so I chose nursing."
"What about influencer marketing?"
"I just wasn't feeling it anymore but I will make sure to come back to it."
He nods his head and I smile because he still remembers I wanted to pursue a career in influencing but now it's just a hobby.
The doors open and we are on the rooftop of the restaurant."This is a hotel rooftop."
"Why does it give restaurant vibes?"
"It has both a restaurant and hotel but I wanted to have a great time with privacy. I don't want people taking photos of us and you feeling unsafe."I look at him and he looks at me.
"This is beautiful."I see a candle lit dinner and roses everywhere.
"Ready?"He asks and I look at the table and then at him.
I nod my head."Of course."We walk to the table. He opens the chair for me and I sit down. He goes to sit down on the chair. He takes a champagne bottle and opens it. He pours the champagne as I am seeing all the lights of Pretoria,it's just beautiful and breathtaking.
