Chapter 3 Part 5: I'm done with you.

Cassidy:

I wake up to blinding sun. I roll over to face Perri but he's not there. I check the time on my phone 7:30am. I throw my legs over the bed and get up heading into Ava's room.

"Aw look at you two!" I say smiling.

Perri and Ava were sat on the floor playing with building blocks. Ava sees me and crawls over to me.

"Hello beautiful!" I say picking her up and kissing her on the cheek. I go over to where Pel is and sit down next to him. We sit and play for about another half an hour before I go to get ready. I head back into our room and pick out today's outfit. I grab my black Adidas joggers and a black crop top. I fold up a hoodie and put it into my hype bag. After that I brush out my knotty hair, leaving it natural. I add very little makeup as I'm not doing much today. I find my high tops pushing my feet into them and doing them up. I get up as Perri walks in.

"I've fed Ava and changed her nappy. She's in the bouncer." He says picking up his jeans.

"Okay thankyou." I say kissing his cheek.

"Are you going to do much today?" Pel asks as he gets ready.

"I think I'm going to go to see my mum." I say sitting on the bed.

"Oh right."

"Yeah, I need to speak to her."

Perri: 

At 10am I head to the studio. When I get there it's only Mitch.

"So, how did the scan go." I ask quietly.

"I don't know." He shrugs.

"I thought you went." I say confused.

He shrugs. "I forgot."

"Seriously Mitch?! Your being pathetic." I say before heading into Studio 1.

In the next 10 minutes the rest of the boys arrive. We waste no time and get straight into rehearsing.

Cassidy:

"Lets go see your nanny!" I say picking up Ava. I carry her into the hall and put her in the buggy. I grab everything I need then head out the door. I walk down the street that I grew up in. I haven't been down here in ages. It feels strange.

"Here we are!" I say walking down the drive. I stop the pram and knock the door. No answer. But their cars are on the drive. I knock again.

"Where are they?" I say looking down at Ava.

I knock once more before getting out my phone and ringing my mum.

'Hello.' My mum says answering the phone.

'Where are you? I'm stood on the doorstep.'

'Oh um we are in Paris...'

Silence echos down the line.

'Your where?!' I half shout.

'Paris. We've been here for a week.'

'Nice for you to tell me!' I shout. 'It's not like I'm part of this family.'

'Oh hunny, don't be like that.'

'No! Stop. Why didn't you even tell me!? Am I not allowed to go on holiday with you anymore?'

'We thought you wouldn't what to come.'

'Well I would of liked to go to Paris with you. No actually, you know what? I'm done with all of you! First you don't bother to come around to see how I've settled in at Pel's house or come to any of my scans. Then when I call you to help me when Ava was screaming for hours- you were 'too' busy taking your other kids to the cinema. And now! You don't even tell me that your in another country on holiday!"

Silence.

'Don't bother calling me again. I'm done with you. All of you. I hope you enjoy your holiday. I bet your not even missing me.'

I cut the call off. Ava starts crying.

"It's okay. Shush. Mummy didn't mean to shout." I say as I push the pram away from the house I used to live in. I walk in the direction of Dancework. I don't look back once. When I arrive at the studio Dani's not at the desk. I head into Studio 2 as it's free. I push Ava's pram into the corner and plug my phone into the speaker. The song 'Habits' starts to play. I dance. I try to forget the fact that my family have forgotten about me. I dance through three songs before I crumble to the floor with my head in my hands. I just sit there as the music plays. 

"Cassidy? Are you okay?" Terry asks walking over and sitting by me.

"Yeah, I'm okay." I say standing up. "I'm just taking a breather."

"Do I need to get Pel?" He asks.  

"No, I'm fine!" I smile.

"Okay, we are in the chill out area if you need us." He says walking out the door.

"Thanks." I call after him.

I sigh as I start to dance again. The song 'Like a G6' comes on, so I create a street routine. The boys must of been watching me because I hear clapping from the other side of the door. I ignore them and carry on dancing. When I physically can't dance anymore, I sit at the back of the studio and rest my head against the wall. Ava is fast asleep in her pram, so I sit there in silence.

"Cassidy, I know when somethings wrong." Dani says sitting next to me.

"I'm fine, honestly." I half smile.

"Pel told me that you went to see your mum today, how did that go?"

"It didn't even happen." I say looking at myself from across the room in the mirror. "They are in Paris. Enjoying themselves- they forgot all about me." I sigh.

"Are you serious?" Dani says shocked. "They didn't even tell you?"

"Nope." I say shaking my head. "I told them I didn't want nothing to do with them anymore."

"Oh Cassidy..." Dani says hugging me. "Would you like to be alone?"

I shrug.

"I will be in reception if you would like to talk."

"Okay, thanks." I say as she gets up to leave.

I rest my head back on the wall. "Looks like it's just the three of us." I say to myself.

Perri:

"Hey Dani." I say as she walks up the stairs to the chill out area.

"Pel, can I speak to you please?" She asks.

"Yeah sure." I say getting up and following her. "What's up?"

"You know Cassidy went to see her mum today."

I nod.

"Yeah, well all of the family are in Paris. They didn't tell her. Her mum said that she thought she wouldn't want to go." She says sighing. "So she told them that she didn't want anything to do with them anymore."

"Is she okay?" I ask rubbing my face.

"She's in studio 2, if you want to speak to her." Dani says.

"Okay , thanks." I say following Dani into reception.

I head into studio 2 and see Cassidy sat on the floor resting her head back on the wall.

"Why aren't you dancing?" I ask.

"I was, I'm too tired now!" She says looking at me.

"It's abit shitty what your parents did." I say pulling her up and into a hug. "If you want, we can go to Paris."

She sighs into my shoulder. 

"I don't care that they've gone to Paris it's the fact that since I told them about Ava, they've never really supported me. They could never 'find the time' to help me when I needed it.

"I know." I say kissing her forehead. "So you told them you don't want anything to do with them?"

"Yeah. I don't!" She says looking over at Ava. "I have the two people I need here."

"I love you." I say

"I love you too." She says hugging me tightly.
