Chapter 5 Part 2: Baby's On His Way.

Cassidy:

Alex slept in Ava's room last night, that's the only place she would be comfortable. Today I am meeting Sadie, it's very close to her due date and she really needs help.

"Pel?" I say shaking him as he rolls over.

"Mmh." He mumbles.

"You are taking Ava to the studio with you aren't you?"

"Yeah babe." He says putting on his glasses.

"Okay cool. I'm going to get Alex up and take her to school then meet Sadie."

"Cool, are you both going to come down the studio?"

"Maybe, I don't know about Mitch though." I say sighing.

"Just come down, Mitch needs to be in Carters life." Pel says getting up.

"I know." I say heading into Ava's room.

Alex is standing next to Ava's crib talking to her through the bars.

"Time to get ready for school." I say going over to Alex's bag and getting out her skirt and polo top.

"Do I have to?" She moans.

"I'm sorry but I will get in trouble if you don't go." I say passing them to her. "When I come back in I expect you ready." I say closing the safety gate.

I make Alex some toast leaving it on the breakfast bar. Then I head back into our room. Pel is pulling on some grey joggers. I head over to the wardrobe and pick today's outfit. I pull on my blue- acid wash shorts, a black bandeau and a white tank top. I grab an oversized white cardigan because it's abit windy this morning. I add some necklaces and push my feet into my hightops.

"I'm going now babe." Perri says bringing Ava into our room.

"Okay, see you later." I say kissing him. "Bye Ava!" I say running my hand over her head.

I head over to the dressing table and curl my hair quickly, then I add my normal makeup. I grab my bag and phone and head out of the bedroom. Alex is sat eating her toast watching CBBC.

"Are you nearly ready?" I say putting her bookbag and shoes by the door.

"Yeah, here you go." She says passing me her plate.

"Thanks." I say taking it. "Go get your shoes on!"

"You and Pel have a very nice house." She says doing up the Velcro on her shoes.

"Well thankyou!" I say making sure that we've got everything. "Let's go!"

It takes us 10 minutes to walk to school, when we get there Alex runs off to join her friends.

"Alex!" I call across the playground. "I will meet you here after gymnastics."

"Okay, bye!" She waves back.

I get out my phone and text Sadie telling her that I'm on my way.

"Hey babes!" I say as Sadie opens the door.

"Hi." She says quietly.

"What's up?" I ask following her into the kitchen.

She turns around and hugs me, crying into my shoulder.

"Hey, hey. What's wrong?"

"Why did I do this to myself?" She cries.

"Do what?" I say holding her shoulders so I can see her face.
