Plus One. ~ Sequel to 'Love Unlocked.'

Chapter 6 Part 4: Birthday.

Cassidy:

Today is Perri's 20th Birthday. This is his first birthday spent with me. It's crazy! 

I wake up early and creep out of our room. I head into the utility and grab Perri's present bag. I drag it into the living room. I sprinkle lots of 'Happy Birthday' confetti over the coffee table, then arrange his presents on it. I then hide the bag and go into the kitchen. I pull out his chocolate cake and add 20 candles. I also add a massive sparkler onto it. Once I've done that, I check the time. 8am.

I go into Ava's room picking her up out of her cot.

"It's Daddy's birthday!" I say as she squeals.

We head back into mine and Pel's room opening the door slowly. Perri's still asleep.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" I shout waking him up.

"Oh my god!" Perri says putting on his glasses.

I head over to our bed placing Ava down. I lean over and kiss Pel.

"When your ready to get up, there's something in the living room for you..." I say winking.

Perri jumps out of bed and rushes into the living room.

Perri:

"You didn't have to get me all of this!" I say seeing a big pile of presents on the table.

"Yes I did!" Cassidy says wrapping her arms around me. "Go on then! Open them!"

I sit down on the sofa with Ava next to me. I open the presents one by one. Ava enjoys playing with the wrapping paper. My favorites are: A framed picture of me and Ava the day she was born, a pair of Nike Jordans and a package to get my car wrapped any colour I like.

"Thankyou SO much!" I say kissing Cassidy.

"Your welcome." She says heading into the kitchen.

I grab my phone and upload a photo to Twitter and Instagram. My notifications go crazy with 'Happy Birthday' messages. I lock my phone and pull Ava onto my lap. The lights go down in the living room.

"What's happening Ava?!" I say looking down at her.

She just looks at me blank. I laugh then look towards the kitchen. Cassidy is walking in carrying a cake lit up with candles and a sparkler, singing happy birthday. Once I've blown out the candles, I kiss her again.

"Cake for breakfast?" She says carrying the cake back into the kitchen.

"Of course!" I call.

Cassidy: 

After we've eaten our piece's of cake we head into our room to get ready. I throw on some black ripped jeans and a peach crop top. I push my feet into my Timberlands tying the laces into bows. I straighten my hair then add my normal makeup. 

Perri wears some black jeans and a long grey top with a blue lumberjack shirt over it and his new Nike Jordans.

I go into Ava's room and get her changed. I put her in a cute little yellow party dress with a matching bow headband. I push her feet into little white frilly socks and white sandals. 

"All ready!" I say carrying her into the kitchen.

I feed Ava until Perri is ready. Then we make our way down to the studio.

Perri: 

We walk into the studio and there are banners everywhere that read 'Happy Birthday Pel!'. Dani comes over and hugs me passing me a present bag.

"Happy Birthday! 20! God, I remember when you were 13!"

"I know! Thankyou for the present." I say heading into studio 1.

I open the door and get shot at by party poppers.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" All the boys shout.

They pass me presents then decide to give me 'Birthday Bashes.' Not fun! I will probably get bruises everywhere.

We have a quick rehearsal before we head home.

"Right get changed into something smarter!" Cassidy says pushing me into the bedroom.

"What for?" I laugh.

"Get changed so that I can- I take longer than you!" She says

I change my tops into a nice shirt and change my shoes.

"Better?" I say walking our the room.

"Perfect!" She says kissing my cheek before running into our room, closing the door behind her.

Cassidy:

I change into my new dress I brought for the occasion. The top part of the dress is white lace and corseted, then it flows into a green skirt that's short at the front and long at the back. I fasten a metallic gold belt to add to the look. I re-apply my makeup then push my feet into some nude heels. I brush my hair then open the bedroom door.

"Wow..." Perri says staring at me.

"What do you think?" I say spinning around.

"Beautiful!" Pel says kissing my cheek.

As we make our way outside Perri stops.

"Is that a Party Bus?" He says nodding towards the all black van parked outside.

"Yes, it is!" I say heading down the steps.

We all get in- including Ava and head to the restaurant- that Perri doesn't know about! All the boys are inside the van waiting.

"Check out this ride!" Jordan says.

We start driving- the music blasting. After about 20 minutes we arrive at the restaurant...

NANDOS.

"Babe, you shouldn't have!" Perri says hugging me.

"Yeah, I should!" I say hugging him back.

We all head inside and sit around a large table.

Perri: 

We have a really nice meal! I can't believe that Cassidy did all of this for me. After the meal we head back to the Party Bus. When we get to the door Cassidy stops.

"Have fun!" She says kissing me on the cheek.

"Where we going?" I ask confused.

"A VIP nightclub!" She says picking Ava up. "Enjoy!"

"Aren't you coming?" I ask holding her hand.

"I would if I could drink, plus Ava! Na, it's for you and the lads! I'm going home."

"Thankyou!" I say kissing her.

"Now go and enjoy yourself!" She says pushing me onto the bus.

"I love you!" I say.

"I love you too!"

After about an hour of driving and raving to the music, we arrive at the venue. It's amazing! We head inside and buy some drinks. We dance the rest of the night.
