Chapter 8 Part 4: Today's The Day.

Cassidy:

I wake up with my belly full of butterflies. I take a deep breath in and rub my eyes. Today I'm going to audition for Britain's Got Talent. I swing my legs over the side of the bed and push myself up. I head over to the wardrobe. I already have my outfit laid out to avoid extra stress.

I pull up my light wash blue jeans and tuck my floral vest top into them. I add a long necklace and pull on my grey cardigan. I sit down and push my feet into my white Adidas Kicks. When I stand up I feel two arms snake around my waist pulling me closer.

"You don't need to be nervous babe. You will be amazing! Trust me."

I turn around and kiss Perri hard on the lips. His kisses calm me down.

"I will be sat in the audience, you will be able to see me. Okay?"

"Okay." I smile slightly.

Perri gets ready as I complete my makeup. I brush and straighten my hair before heading into Ava's room. I change her into a little white dress and glitter converse. I add a matching bow to complete the look.

By the time we are all ready its 7:45am. Early- I know.

"C'mon lets go!" Perri says picking up Ava and placing his spare arm around me.

We arrive at the studio to be greeted by all the boys. They all tell me it will be fine. We clamber onto the minibus and begin to travel to Britain's Got Talent. I hum through the song making sure I know everything. Perri places a hand on my leg and smiles. I smile back.

It takes us about 35 minutes to arrive at the auditions. The boys go into the venue and sit down. Perri stays with me and Ava. We queue for about 2 hours before I get taken backstage.

"I will be right out there okay. You will smash it! Remember: confidence and smile." He says kissing me. "I love you."

"I love you too." I smile as I get taken side stage.

I think I'm the 8th person up. I stare onto the stage watching the band in front get buzzed off.

"Your Cassidy aren't you?" Ant asks.

"Yeah, Perri's girlfrind!" Dec says.

"Yep, that's me!" I smile.

"Right well good luck!" They say as I walk onto the stage.

I smile as the crowd begins to scream and cheer. Perri, Ava and the boys stand up and clap. I giggle and stand in front of the judges.

"Hello, and you are?" David Walliams asks.

"Hey, I'm Cassidy Baxter." I smile trying to forget the butterflies rising in my stomach.

"How old are you Cassidy?" Amanda asks.

"17." I reply.

"Now, your a well known dancer!" Alisha smiles. "Are these guys obviously know you. What are you here to do today?"

"I'm going to sing Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift." I say down the mic.

"I love that song!" Amanda smiles.

"Okay, off you go." Simon signals.

I nod towards the music man to start the track. I take a deep breath and look for Perri. I spot him and smile. He smiles back.

I begin to sing.

'Let's get out of this town, drive out of the city, away from the crowd.

Thought heaven can't help me now, nothing lasts forever.

But this is gonna take me down...

He's so tall, hand...'

Simon waves his hand in the air to stop the music. I shoot a worried look at Perri. He mouths 'It's Okay.' to me. The crowd begins to boo.

"Can we have the mic turned up please." Simon calls. "I can't hear Cassidy."

After about a minute I begin to sing again.

'He's so tall, handsome as hell. He's so bad but he does it so well. I can see the end as it begins.

My one condition it is...

Say you'll remember me, standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset babe...'

By the end of the song the whole crowd are on their feet clapping and cheering. I look up to Perri- he's crying. I start crying.

"Tell us Cassidy, what made you come onto the show?" Simon asks.

"Diversity. I've never sang in front of anyone before. I was singing to myself in the studio when they heard me. They persuaded to come and give it a try." I smile as a tear runs down my cheek.

"Well you've got 4 yeses!" Simon says.

Perri runs down the stairs and runs up onto the stage. I run into his hug crying happy teas into his shoulder.

"I'm so proud of you!" He says.

"Excuse me!" Amanda says. "Is your daughter with you?"

I nod and point up to the boys. Ashley brings Ava down and Amanda holds her.

"Awwww!" The crowd coos.

I walk off stage not realizing whats just happened.

"I knew you could do it!" Perri says kissing me.
