Chapter 5 Part 3: Baby Carter.

Cassidy:

Baby Carter is beautiful. He looks just like Mitch.

"Congratulation!" I say hugging Sadie. "He's beautiful!"

"Thankyou!" She says cradling him.

"Congrats mate!" Pel says patting Mitch on the back. "He looks like you."

We stay at the hospital for another couple of hours before we leave to collect Ava from Ash. Me and Pel get into his car and head back to the studio.

"Thanks for doing that Ash!" I say taking Ava off him.

"She's no trouble!" He says. "How's Sadie?"

I show him a picture of Carter that I took earlier.

"He's so cute!" Ash says. "I will pop around tomorrow."

By the time we get home it's 8pm. Perri takes Ava into her room and put her to bed. I grab my phone and try to call my mum. She forwards it to voicemail. I call my dad. Exactly the same thing happens. I figure Dan might know something.

-Phone Call- -D= Dan, C=Cassidy.-

C- 'Dan?'

D- ' Yeah, what's up?'

C- 'Do you know where mum and dad have gone?'

D- ' What do you mean?'

C- 'They've took Alex and their house is empty, not one bit of furniture.'

D- 'The only place I could think they've gone is New Zealand...'

C- 'WHAT!'

D- ' I saw them looking at houses there yesterday when I went round.'

C- 'Okay, thanks.'

-End of Call-

I slump down on the sofa as Perri walks in.

"Who was that?"

"Dan, he thinks that my parents have gone to New Zealand." I say rubbing my head.

"You've got to be joking! That's the other side of the world."

"Nope, looks like I'm never seeing them again, I hope Alex will be okay." I say looking up at him.

"You can't just give up!" Pel says.

"Perri, what do you expect me to do? I have no address. We don't even know that they've gone to New Zealand. I have no way of contacting them."

"But what about your sister?!"

"Look, I can't bear the thought of Alex being with them alone, I can't do anything if I don't know where to go to get her!" I say standing up.

"Your unbelievable!" Perri says throwing his arms in the air.

"Why are you getting mad at me? You come up with an idea then!" I say raising my voice.

"You leaving your sister with people that beat her! And I don't know what to do either." He shouts.

"See you don't have any ideas, so don't get mad at me for not knowing what to do!" I say storming into our bedroom.

I slam the door and throw myself on our bed. I lie there, all my anger coming out in tears.

Perri:

I sit down on the sofa sighing. Me and Cassidy are fighting over her parents. I shake my head and stand up heading in the direction of our room. I open the door to see Cassidy lying there crying into her hands.

"Babe?" I say walking towards her.

She ignores me. I sit on the bed next to her and rub her leg.

"Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't of took my anger out on you. I'm so mad at your parents."

She takes her hands away from her face, mascara running down her cheeks.

"Come here." I say opening my arms.

She falls into my hug sniffling on my shoulder.

"I want Alex to be safe." She says.

"I know, so do I. I'm sorry." I say squeezing her tightly.

"I'm sorry too." She says leaning back to look at me.

"I love you Cassidy."

"I love you too Perri." She says before kissing me.

~ The Next Day~

Cassidy:

I wake up to blinding sun. I roll over and grab my phone. I have a picture message from Sadie. It's a picture of Mitch holding Carter. The message reads: 'Daddy finally stepping up.'

I text her back the get out of bed. I go into the bathroom and turn on the shower. I get in washing my hair and body. Once I'm finished I dry myself off and wrap a towel around me. I open the bathroom door and head back into our room. Perri is sat up watching some TV.

"Morning Babe." He says smiling.

"Morning." I say heading over to the wardrobe.

I pull on some grey Nike joggers and a black Nike sports bra. I tie my hair up into a high ponytail then I sit down at the dressing table. I add concealer, mascara and lipgloss. I get up and open the window, I stick my head out to see what the temperature is like. It's a little chilly so I grab my red lumberjack shirt tying it around my waist.

"I've sorted Ava out, I've put her in some joggers and a vest." Perri says walking in and grabbing his jeans.

"Okay cool." I say grabbing my phone.

I go and pop my head around Ava's door. She's playing with her teddies. Ava's hair has now gone into an afro- not a big one- but an afro. She looks adorable in her outfit.

I go into the kitchen and grab myself a bottle of water before pushing my feet into my hightops.

"Ready?" I say as Pel walks out of the bedroom.

"Yeah, I'll meet you in the car, I just need to grab my phone." He says chucking me the car keys.

I go and pick up Ava and carry her to the car. I'm buckling her in when Pel gets into the front.

"Are you excited?" Pel asks as we make our way to the studio.

"Yeah! I'm really excited." I say smiling at him.

Tour starts tomorrow for a week. I can't wait. It's my first big dance thing since Step Up 5. We pull up outside and get out. Pel goes in ahead and I get Ava out the back.

"Lets go see the boys!" I say as I put her down grabbing her hands so that shes upright and stumbling along.

We walk into the studio and meet Dani at the desk.

"Ready for tomorrow?" She says smiling at Ava.

"Yeah, of course!" I say walking towards Studio 1.

"So Ava's going to be in this number!" Ash says jokingly seeing Ava in joggers.

"Not just yet!" I say sitting Ava down.

We rehearse all the numbers for hours so that we are perfect for the start of tour tomorrow.
