Chapter 8 Part 3: Wildest Dreams.

Cassidy:

I wake up to the sound of Perri's heart beating. We've been asleep on the sofa all night. I lean forward and kiss him on the cheek making his eyes flicker open. He smiles at me and stretches.

"Morning!" I say smiling.

"Morning babe." He says twisting a piece of my hair around his finger.

I get up and head into Ava's room. I wake her up and carry her into the kitchen to feed her. I'm warming up her food when Pel comes to join us.

"Have you thought any more about singing?" He says leaning over the island.

"I have actually!" I say turning to face him. "I need to do something with my life."

"Really?" He says looking happily shocked.

"Yeah, I have a ball of confidence inside- I don't know why, but I feel like I should do it!" I say.

"Aw babe!" He says hugging me. "Do you have a song?"

"Yeah, if we are going down the studio, I could sing it there and you all can give your opinion on if I should do it..." I say sheepishly.

"Sounds good!" He says smiling widely. "You go get ready, I will feed the munchkin!"

I kiss him quickly and head into our bedroom. I go over to the wardrobe and pull on my black face apparel tee and my black ripped jeans. I sit down at the dressing table and plug in my straighteners, resting them on the side to heat up. I quickly complete my full makeup routine covering my bruise- that's slowly going down. I brush out the knots in my hair, then straighten it. Once I'm finished I unplug the straighteners leaving them to cool down and pull on the face apparel cloud concept snapback on backwards.

"Look at you repping the face!" Perri says picking up his jeans.

"Haha!" I laugh as I push my feet into my Adidas Kick, tying the laces into bows.

At about 9:30am we head out the door and get into Pel's car. Once I've strapped Ava in we turn off the drive in the direction of the studio.

"Ayyyyy!" Jordan says as I get out the car.

"Aha, like my style?" I laugh.

"Love it!" Sam calls heading into studio 1.

Perri gets Ava out the car and follows me and Jordan into Studio 1. The boys have a quick rehearsal until they ask me if I would perform my routine on their new 'DiversityLive #2' show. I obviously agree. I rehearse my number so that Ashley can see it again.

"Cassidy has decided that she might go on BGT if we think she sounds okay!" Perri says taking my hand.

I stand next to him awkwardly and smile.

"Are you really?!" Jordan says surprised.

"Only if I sound okay..." I smile slightly.

"Well lets hear you then!" Ashley says smiling.

"It's a slow song though!" I laugh.

"That's cool!" Sam says.

I go onto youtube and find the backing track. Perri takes my phone before I can do anything and plugs it into the speakers. 

"Ready?" He asks smiling.

I nod and wait for the music to begin.

I stand there in the middle of Studio 1 on my own singing to Diversity. I start off quiet because I'm nervous.

'Let's get out of this town,

Drive out of the city, 

Away from the crowd.'

I take a breath and continue.

'I thought heaven can't help me now,

Nothing lasts forever....'

(Listen to the song at the beginning plus that's Cassidy's voice!)

Once I've finished singing the room is silent. I turn to look at Perri who's just staring at me. I look back at the boys who are doing the same expression.

"Was I really that bad?" I ask looking down at my feet.

"NO!" Perri smiles. "You were beautiful!" He says jogging over and kissing me.

Then the boys begin to clap.

"Wow!" Ashley says. "That was amazing."

"What song is that?" Mitch asks.

"Wildest Dreams." I smile.

"You were so good!" Jordan says giving me a hug.

I can't believe they actually think I'm good! This could be a fresh start...

Perri:

Cassidy sounded amazing! I love her more and more every day.

"Which one of you put my up on your twitter?" Cassidy asks looking up from her phone.

"That would be me!" Ike says. "But look at the comments!"

Cassidy is smiling down at her screen.
