Chapter 10 Part 1: Practice.

Cassidy:

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. I roll over and answer it.

'Hello?' I say sleepily.

"Whose that?" Perri asks.

'Sissy?' A tiny voice replies.

'Alex!?' I say shocked. 'Where are you? Are you okay?'

'I'm scared...'

'Alex, where are you?'

Muffled voices drown out Alex's voice. I hear 'what are you doing?' and then I think Alex says 'Sissy.' I try to get her to talk.

'Alex! Are you okay? What's happ....'

The phone call goes dead. I look at Perri.

"What happened then?" He says confused.

"Alex... That was Alex. She said she was scared. That's all I could hear, before it was cut off." I say shocked.

"Did she say where she was?" Perri says sitting up.

"No, nothing." I say shaking me head.

He pulls me into a hug, kissing me on the head. He pulls away like he has an idea.

"I know! The police!" He says.

"What about the police?" I say frowning.

"They could track the call!" He says proud of himself.

"Good idea!" I say hugging him.

I jump out of bed and head over to the wardrobe. I pull on my denim shorts and white crop top. I pull on a yellow baseball tee and my Nike Jordan's. I brush out my hair leaving it in natural curls. Next I add minimal makeup, as I can't be bothered to do full makeup.

"Ava's all ready." Perri says popping his head around the door.

"Okay, let's go." I smile.

We get into Perri's car and head over to Starr's. I get out and pass Ava over.

"Thankyou." I say hugging her.

"No, it's my pleasure! We are going to the park!" She smiles.

"Okay, have fun!" I say heading back to the car.

Next me and Pel drive over to the police station. We get out and head towards the big blue doors. Perri intertwines his fingers with mine. I smile at him as we enter the building.

"Hi, how can I help you?" The tall police officer smiles.

"My sister, Alex, called me this morning. I was wondering if you could track the call as she is in danger." I say getting out my phone.

"Is this Alex who got dragged over to New Zealand with your parents?"

I nod, embarrassed.

"We will need you phone until tomorrow, if that's okay with you."

"Yeah, that's fine." I say handing it over.

"We will give you a call on your mobile if we get anything." He says taking Perri's number.

"Okay, thankyou!" I smile feeling a massive weight being lifted off my shoulders.

We leave the Police Station and head over to the studio. 

"Lets get you on that Penny Board then!" Perri winks opening the boot.

"Oh god!" I laugh following him.

We head over to the empty part of the carpark. I put my Penny Board down and Perri does the same. I burst out laughing and I don't know why.

"Stand on it to begin with!" Perri says holding back laughs.

I stand on my Penny Board and immediately grab Perri's arms. He starts to laugh.

"It's not funny!"

He shakes his head and starts to pull me along. I wobble along tightening my grip on Perri.

"Pel! Not so fast!" I say my eyes widening.

"Now, push yourself along." He smiles stepping back.

I take a deep breath in and push off on my left leg. I put both my feet on my board. I start off okay, but then it goes downhill. I wobble, then I can't keep myself up. I start to fall- luckily Perri grabs me just in time.

"I can't do this!" I giggle.

"Yes you can!" Pel laughs.

I get back on and go again. Perri gets on his board and skates next to me. I look stupid! I have my arms out in all directions and my legs are bent! I'm going along fine until my front wheel hits a stone. My board shoots off to the right and I go to the left. I hit the ground- hard.

"Babe are you okay?" Perri says rushing over.

This is going to take a while...
