Chapter 8 Part 5: My Baby.

Cassidy:

It still hasn't sunk in that I've got through to the next round of BGT. It's surreal! I just wish my parents were here to support me...

I wake up to Perri's hair tickling my cheek. I push it out the way and sit up. I grab my phone to check the time. 7:50am. I end up scrolling through my social media for a good 20 minutes. At about 8:15am I finally get up. I creep into Ava's room, but she's fast asleep. I close the door quietly and head back into our room, going straight to the wardrobe. 

I pull on my loose black jogger/leggings and a cropped black jumper. I brush my hair leaving it to fall over my shoulders in natural curls before pulling the all black face hat on. Sitting down at the dressing table I push my feet into my Timberlands before adding minimal makeup.

"Someone's ready to dance!" Perri says pulling on the face tee on in white.

I laugh before kissing him quickly. I leave Pel to get ready and go to sort Ava out. When I go into her room for the second time, she's bouncing up and down holding onto the bars.

"Morning cutie!" I say running my hand through her growing afro. 

I dress Ava in some little denim blue shorts with a little 'DV' jumper from Diversity's merch. I push her feet into some converse before taking her into the kitchen to feed her. I'm half way through the pot of baby food when Perri comes to join us.

"You both look beautiful!" He winks.

"Not to bad yourself!" I joke as I wipe baby food from around Ava's mouth.

When we are all ready we get into Pel's car and head over to his mums house.

"Thankyou for doing this!" I say passing Ava into her arms.

"No problem, see you later." She says as I head back to the car.

We pull up outside the studio at 9:10am. I grab my phone and head into reception.

"Morning Dani!" I smile heading straight through into studio 1.

"Morning Cass!" She calls back.

I place my phone on the side and head over to the rest of the boys.

"Hey guys!" I say sitting down next to Jord.

"Sup." Ike says.

I have an email come through on my phone. I get up bringing my phone back into the group. It's from Simon. Simon Cowell?! It reads:

'Hi Cassidy, I've decided to choose your song for the next round as I would like to push you into greater things. The song I have chosen is 'My Baby' by Zendaya. I think you will like it. Oh and ask the Diversity boys if they've finished the dance...

Simon Cowell.'

I frown at the screen then look up at the boys.

"Simon's chosen my song already! And he's told me to ask you... if you've finished the dance?" I say curving my eyebrows.

The boys look at each other and smile.

"What? You know something!" I point.

"Simon contacted us and asked us to be your backing dancers for this song!" Ashley says smiling.

"No way!" I half shout.

They all burst out laughing.

"How long have you known?" I ask.

"Since the weekend after your audition!" Perri says laughing.

"Are you joking?!" I ask surprised.

"Nope, do you want to see it?" Ash asks standing up.

"Yeah!"

The boys perform this amazing number right before my eyes. It's... WOW! I cannot believe that Diversity are going to be my backing dancers!

"So this is the bit you are going to join in with whilst you are singing." Ashley says pulling me into the middle of the floor.

"Okay." I say flustered.

I learn the dance. It's not that complicated- but I've never sang and danced before.

"Let's try it as you sing!" Ashley says restarting the track.

'Let me tell you a little some' little some' that you might wanna know about me, I don't play no games, baby listen baby if you love me then come show me!'

I stand there moving to the music. 

"Right 5,6,7,8!" Ashley calls.

We jump into the dance as I sing:

'We should have listened to each other's hearts, falling in love in every part. We can make this happen, if you 'bout that action. Now here we go again, here we go again, you know you wanna be my baby!'

"WOOH!" The boys cheer as I hit the last move.

"You killed it!" Perri says hugging me.

"Now! That will get you far!" Ashley says giving me a high five.

I can't believe what's happening! I remember when I was watching Diversity on BGT watching them- wishing I could one day meet them, maybe even dance with them...

Now, Diversity are my backing dancers. I've been on tour with them and had Perri Kiely's daughter!

It's so strange how things can change so quickly...
