Chapter 8 Part 1: Black eye.

Cassidy:

I get given a ice pack by Terry to reduce swelling. A bruise is already appearing around my eye. Great! The boys keep rehearsing for another couple of hours.

"Hey, me and Pel are going to the chippy- what does everyone want?"

We all order before they leave. I head up to the chill out area with a sleeping Ava. I'm sat rocking her when Sam comes and joins me.

"Hey Cass." He says sitting down next to me.

"Hey Sam."

"What's wrong?" He says frowning.

"I can't say..."

"You can tell me anything!"

"I really can't say." I say shaking my head.

"Your eye wasn't from fruit shoots was it?" He says quietly.

"If I tell you, you have to swear down that you won't tell anyone." I say firmly.

"You have my word."

"I got punched- twice..."

"Billy?" He states.

I just nod.

"He's SUCH A D*CK!" He says loudly.

"Keep your voice down!" I hiss.

"Sorry, how come you won't tell Pel?"

"He said that if I told anyone- then next time it would be Ava..."

"Are you serious?!" Sam says eyes wide. "Cassidy, you have to tell Perri."

"NO! I can't. Ava will get hurt."

"I promise you she won't!" Sam says pulling me into a hug.

"FOOD!" Ashley calls out.

Me and Sam make our way down. I place Ava on the mats- fast asleep.

"Cassidy, these are yours." Jordan says passing me a bag of chips.

"Cheers." I say sitting down next to Pel and Sam.

We all sit around in a circle, laughing and joking. It makes me forget about my black eye. Sam nudges me. He mouths 'Tell Them...' to me. I shake my head.

"Um, guys. Cassidy needs to tell you something- important." Sam says.

I turn and glare at him. How could he?

"What is it babe?" Perri asks.

"Um, um, I... got..." I start.

I shake my head and trail off. I can't tell them- it puts Ava in danger.

"C'mon Cass, just tell us!" Jordan says.

"I... I got... p, pun, punched..." I say looking down at the few chips left in front of me.

"WHAT!" Perri half shouts. "I KNEW IT!"

I stare at the floor. I run my hands through my hair.

"Cass? Was it..." Ash starts.

I nod answering his question.

"I'm calling the police." Pel says getting his phone.

"NO!" I snap. "Y, you can't!"

"What, why not? He beat you!"

"He said that if I told anyone- Ava would be next..."

"Where is that f*cker!" Perri shouts.

"Pel, don't!" I shout. "I don't care- no one say anything. I don't want Ava to be hurt..."

Bit of a shorter one as it was a carry on from the last part. 

I won't be on from Sunday until next Saturday as I'm at Butlins... DIVERSITY WORKSHOP here I come! I'm so excited! I cant wait.
