when el entered the clinic, she saw mike sitting down by the seats waiting for her.
he stood instantly and smiled at her. "he just called us in,"
she gave a nod and followed him towards ivan's room before he knocked gently on the door.
then, they both entered and sat down on the couch in their usual seats.
"how are you both today?"
el gave a weak shrug as mike did the same. "fine,"
"just fine?" he asked with a gentle smile. "so how did the date go?"
el spoke up quietly as she looked down to her lap. "it was fine. we talked more,"
"that's good. what about?"
el looked over at mike who went to answer. "just about... what we never talked about. we caught up with each other," he said with a light chuckle. "and it felt right. it felt good. right?" he turned to el who nodded slowly. "yes. yes, it did,"
"i see there's more communication between the both of you. not just talking but talking about how you're feeling. that's great progress," ivan wrote down a few notes before he spoke up. "did you guys talk about what we discussed last session? or was it more casual? maybe about your family or...?"
