Destiny was in her office room at home.

It was around 2 pm when her phone started ringing. She glanced at the caller id with annoyance.

She frowned seeing her mom's name flashing across the screen.

Her mother would never call at this time unless it was something important.

She picked up the call and put it against her ear and shoulder while continuing to type away on the laptop.

"Honey, is Aaron home?" She asked in a urgent tone.

Destiny frowned more, why was she calling about Aaron.

She surely could call him herself. As if she heard her thoughts, the woman added.

"He isn't picking up his cell. Jaden called, he hadn't gone to the café yet. Jaden would've called him but he doesn't have Aaron's number."

Who the fuck was Jaden?

"I don't know, mom." Destiny sighed defeatedly, how could she describe her mother about why she didn't know if the boy was home or not. "I'll check." She quickly added and got up from her chair.

She went to Aaron's room and tried to listen to some movement from outside, but it felt like no was even breathing in there.

"Ottilie? Hello?"

Destiny debated on whether to tell her mom about their little dispute or not.

She was already guilty and didn't know how to handle the situation, if mom knew, she'd begin reciting pages after pages of lecture.

"He's in the washroom." She sputtered the lie without even thinking. "Maybe he's not feeling well that's why stayed at home."

"That's unlike him. Darling, please check on him. I'll let Jaden know to manage the café on his own today."

"Okay, bye mom."

"Bye. Get him to call me as soon as he's out."

Destiny hung up and stood outside Aaron's door for a few more minutes.

There still wasn't any drop of sound. It made a sudden anxious feeling to rise in her stomach.

She kept glancing back while going back to her office.

Around 6 pm, Destiny finished her work and got out of her room to notice the boy still hasn't come out of his room.

Now, she felt the familiar worry coming back. Her chest started thudding from her heart beat increasing.

She fought against all of her inner debates and decided to knock on his door.

She went to his room and raised her hand, hesitating for a second before letting a light knock rest against the wooden surface.

No sound. No response.

She knocked again, a bit louder this time. Still no response. Not a single sound of anyone moving around could be heard.

Destiny felt her chest tightening and heart beat increasing to a rapid rate.

She could feel something was up. Something was definitely wrong.

She knocked rapidly several times.

"Aaron?!" She jingled the door knob but the door was locked.

She ran to her room and shuffled through the bedside drawers then found the spare keys.

Her ears rung as she ran back to Aaron's room and her hands shook as she inserted the right key and twisted the knob, bursting the door open.

It was like a cold bucket of water falling down on her, Destiny felt her heart sank as she found the boy passed out on the floor of his room with foam coming out of his mouth.
