It was a chaos around the house.
Balloons, ribbons, flowers, confetties, everything scattered around the Archer residence, it was a mess which every one was working to clean up and form into a decoration.
After all, it was the birthday of the heir of the Archer dynasty.
Shawn Damien Archer just turned 5 years old today, and it called for a big celebration.
The party would take place at Lila and Kai's mansion, so everyone had gathered there the previous day, occupied to finish their parts for the party.
"Ottie, you should get some rest. You've been on calls nonstop." Aaron said, holding his wife's hand.
Smiling, Destiny pulled him close and kissed his lips softly. Taking his other hand, she placed it on her growing bump.
"See. How excited she is for her brother's birthday. We can't rest now."
Aaron beamed, eyes sparkling as he felt the small kick of their unborn child. He had been so eager for a daughter, and now that she's now on her way, Aaron couldn't wait any longer.
"I know. My baby girl can't wait to participate in her brother's party. And dada can't wait for you to be here." He slightly bend down and kissed the bump.
Destiny's heart fluttered seeing her love's interaction with their unborn child. It made her feel like the luckiest human being on earth.
"Now baby, go and check on Oliver please. I'll get Shawn ready."
Oliver was their younger son, 4 years old and already quite the trouble maker, grumpy and stubborn. Just like his mother. And unlike his older brother.
"But promise to eat something before that."
"Yes. Promise."
Aaron was about to leave when Destiny tugged at his sleeve and brought him close to crash their lips in a passionate kiss.
On instinct, Aaron's hands went up to her hair and neck, kissing her fervently, loving how it still thrilled him to the bones to have his wife kiss him like there was no tomorrow.
He felt her hand sneaking down his pants and a soft moan escaped his lips, being directly swallowed by their kiss.
As their tongues danced along, and things seemed to get heated, Aaron quickly pulled away, breathing heavily.
Still very much aroused, Destiny tried to pull him back to herself but Aaron held her hands and stopped her.
"We can't, Ottie. Not now. The party's about start in half an hour." He reasoned.
"Come on, baby. We'll be quick."
Aaron pursed his lips and shook his head solemnly.
"I'll be a mess afterwards. And I can't risk being a mess on our son's birthday."
Destiny chuckled at that, enjoying how Aaron's face had flushed a deeper shade of red.
"Fine. But later." She argued, leaning close to his neck and leaving a couple kisses there.
A shiver ran down his spine as Aaron nodded, steadying his breaths.
"Later." He promised and hurried out of the room.
--------
All the guests have arrived by 8 pm.
The 3 tier cake was placed in the middle of the hallroom, where the decorations were up and a huge banner saying "Happy Birthday Shawn" was hung up on the wall.
