Chapter 12: Hidden Feelings

I am here now inside the convention center. Mitch texted me na nasa bandang kaliwa raw siya. Maraming table dito at karamihan ay nasa may gilid. Bali walang mga tables sa center at sa unahan since the mini concert will start later after the speech of guest speaker and some welcome messages.

Zach is with the officers na. I don't know what they are going to talk about since hindi na din ako nagtanong kasi paki ko ba.

There, I finally saw Mitch she's wearing a Red V Neck Sequin Sleeveless Slit Midi Dress.

"Hello girl! Looking gorgeous as ever ah." I said habang papalapit na ako.

"Higher girl! Says the goddess among all goddesses, nambola pa 'to eh." She replied and chuckled. So parehas kaming mapagkumbaba. "By the way, did you got here alone? Lonely ng buhay natin. Makahanap nga ngayon."

"Nope. I came here with Zach and being single doesn't mean being lonely, duh!" Okay na man yung buhay ko kahit single. Ewan bakit pinoproblema yan ng karamihan kung isa naman itong karangalan, char.

"Oh! That hot best friend of yours. Anyways, I saw Maegan and Mr. Vice President bago lang. I think sabay din silang pumunta, so by partner na pala ngayon. Chismosang saad ni Mitch at pinaikot pa yung mata niya at diniinan ang salitang 'best friend' as if isa itong malaking kasinungalingan. I rolled my eyes on her. "Ang daldal mo, wala namang sense." Sabi ko sa kaniya at tumawa lang ang gaga.

"I'm just kidding lang kasi. But still, sayo pa rin ako boto. Just like what I said before, I trust your beauty. You don't have to make a move, someday will come, lalayag din ang barko. Either kay captain Zamora o Captain Dawson." She even added her fake evil laugh. Delulu na naman 'tong isang 'to.

"You better focus on looking for your prince charming. I don't need Godzilla in my life." I suggested. Then she overreactingly look at me with a shock expression. "What?"

"Oh my goddess! Did you just call them, the President and Vice President, heirs of Zamora's group of company and Dawson Empire, at ang sinasamba ng karamihan as GODZILLA? Woah, you really are something. Tomboy ka ba?" Adik talaga 'tong babaeng 'to.

I sighed out of frustration. Tamang desisyon ba ang mapalapit sa babaeng 'to? "Look, what I mean is I don't care about any guy right now. I don't have plan of ruining that #MaeDan, #MaeChary or whatsoever. All I want is to breathe, nothing more nothing less and most of freaking all, I am not a tomboy. "Good Evening to our fresh AIUnians! The new official globally competitive and smartest students of Aniston International University..." Napalingon kami sa stage nang biglang pumutak ang emcee. Marami pa siyang pambobola at kababalaghang sinasabi and thanks to  them at tumahimik na itong si Mitch at nakinig na ng maayos.

Dalawa ang emcee, babae at isang lalaki siguro? They introduce the guest speakers as well as ang mga importanteng taong may ambag sa paaralang ito and of course the owner of this school.

"Let us all welcome, the owner of this prestigious university, Mr. Martin Aniston together with his wife Mrs. Geneva Aniston. Around of applause please." Go with the flow lang din ako.  palakpak kung palakpak, tatayo kung dapat. So that's Maegan's parents? Her dad has a foreign blood while I think her mother is a pure Filipina. Nagmana din siya sa mother niya. Her physical features pati na rin siguro sa height. Her dad is kinda tall while her mom's maybe an average. Though medyo mas matangkad si Maegan sa mama niya.
