Guy or Gay?

Prologue

Everything is prepared and so I am. Last week pa lang, I started to bought everything that I need para sa darating na pasukan bukas makalawa.

The long wait is over. Last 3 months ago, I finally graduated from high school. They said, high school days is the best part of our lives. But not for me, I'm always at my best, everytime I'm with my bestfriend.

Zachary Levi Dawson-ang bestfriend kong hilaw. Half Filipino and half Australian. Half Adam and half eve.

Ako naman nakakalito yung lahi ko. Both of my parents were half, it means one-fourth ako. Mom is a half Scottish and half Filipino while my dad is a half Spanish and half Filipino too. So I'm still half Filipino.

Zach and I stayed here in the Philippines for 12 years na so of course we can speak and understand tagalog.

He is an upcoming second year college student. Taking up Business Administration like me. Magc-college na din ako and that's what makes me excited. Magkakasama na kami ni friendship ko.

He is 1 year, 6 months and 6 days older than me. He is currently 19 while I am 18 years old. I turned 18 last month lang. During my 18th roses, dad was my first dance while Zach or Zandra was my last. He hate the idea of being part of the 18 roses but he loves dancing with me daw. He actually preferred being on of the 18 candles.

We were both inseparable. We've known each other ever since the world begun. Our families are already close, a best of best friends. Mula pa sa mga ninuno up until now. Namana pa rin namin.

Wherever I am, there is Zach. And wherever Zach is, I am there.

And there he is. Nakahiga sa sofa ng kwarto ko. May cucumber sa mata and facial mask. Akala mo sa kanya, tss.

Parang walang sariling bahay, palaging andito. He has his own room here in our house. Pinagawan na since alam na nina mom and dad na dito to palaging nakatambay. Actually, magkatabi lang pala bahay namin.

"Hey bruha! why don't you just help me with this? Total andito ka na naman lang din sa pamamahay ko?." Sabi ko sa kaniya habang pinagmamasdan lahat ng mga gamit ko.

"I can't stress myself. So don't you dare bother me". He said, looking oh so chill while I am here, iniisip kung paano ko 'to isasakay sa kotse bukas.

"Zachary! I can't do this all alone. Andami nito, I need your help! Besides bukas pa naman". I said with a hint of irritation.

I badly need his help. Lahat ng katulong eh wala pa dito, binigyan ng time nina mommy to have some time with their loved ones since they have a business trip in Canada and Zach and I were supposed to move to our condo last days pa but hindi natuloy for some reasons such as tinamad pa ako. And no one expect that I'd buy this plenty of things. Gosh!

"Who's that? Who is Zachary?." He act as if he really don't know that annoying living organism. "I'm Zandra, okay? How could you forgot it?." He sounds as if his sad.

I rolled my eyes at him." Shut up Zachary Levi."

"The hell with that name! Fine I'll help you, just don't mention that freakin' name!." I chuckled and stuck my tongue out. He look so frustrated.

He is Zandra in front of me. But he is the Zachary Levi in front of other people. Except from his family and mine. I am the only person who saw the real him.

Probably because of that damn reputation. He doesn't have freedom to show his real self. His family and mine-the Dawson and Dela Vega is very known not just in our country but also in Asia or even worldwide because of our business.

I am the one who knew it first, about him being gay. And I accept it right away 'cause why not?

I am 6 years old while he is 7 when we find out about it. He usually play with my barbie doll and make up toys rather that his robots and cars. And he find himself liking my dresses instead of his polo. So that's it.

He is already 10 years old when his dad notice him acting feminine but he denied it when tito asked him directly. But unfortunately, he failed to prove it. He is 11 when tito caught us wearing make up while he is walking as if he is in a runway fashion show. Nakakimbot pa.

Tita Charry-Zach's mom is okay with it. But Tito Zachariah is not. He tried everything para matuwid si Zach, nabugbog pa nga si Zach. Pero kalaunan ay sumuko din si Tito.

Tito let Zachary be himself but with one condition. He can be his real self only in front of his family and mine but he have to act as a real man in front of others.

Zach doesn't have any choice so he just accept it than to act as a man for his whole life.

He masters his act. He switched himself easily. Ikaw ba yung halos buong buhay mo nang gawain 'yon. But sometimes, pumipilantik yung mga kamay niya and lumalabas yung pagiging Zandra but for a second only. Like when he gets startled.

I can't help but to worry too. There are times na may nagduda. Asking if he's a "Guy or Gay?"
