Chapter 32

Hinalikan niya ako sa gilid ng labi!

Sobrang init ng mukha ko nang tuluyang makapasok sa kwarto ko.

Hindi na nga ako nakapagpaalam sa kanya nang maayos kanina bago ako bumaba sa kotse niya dahil sa sobrang kilig ko. I burried my face against my pillow at saka nagsisisigaw sa kilig habang nakadapa sa kama.

Nakikiliti pa rin ang tiyan ko sa hindi malamang dahilan.

Soon as my phone beeped for a notification, agad ko itong binuksan. Jayscen's name was on the lockscreen, mayroon siyang message.

Nagreact ako ng '😙' emoji sa message niya at saka nagreply ng 'nightyyy! lysm<3'. I tossed my phone to my bed because I could feel my cheeks burning. Kayakap ko ang unan ko hanggang sa makatulog.

A month passed by, the second semester of the school year finally started. Maaga akong naglinis ng sarili dahil maaga rin ang schedule ko bilang work immersion student.

I chose secondary education kaya na-assign ako sa isang high school sa Centro.

Walang araw na hindi ako hinahatid-sundo ni Jayscen sa school sa Centro sa tuwing may shift ako roon for On Job Training.

Jayscen once told me that he was just finishing the first two quarters of Grade 12 STEM because he wanted to be here with me in the Philippines.

When he was in the US, he seized the opportunity to enroll at the Astronomy University, completing the first semester as quickly as he could. That's why he was able to return here so soon; he literally rushed everything, including his requirements, through his first-year first and second semester.

There are still a lot of semesters and years ahead of him, so I'm certain he will be returning to the US soon to continue his studies.

And I'm completely on board with that. I have no right to hold him back, and even if I did, there's no way I would. Long-distance relationships? Walang problema sa akin 'yan! I couldn't be prouder of him as he chases his dreams. I have every confidence that Jayscen will achieve them—after all, siya na 'yan, e. I believe in him.

"Love! Anong ginagawa mo rito?!"

Nanlalaki ang mga mata ko nang buksan ko ang pinto sa classroom ng mga Grade 7 na kung saan akong kasalukuyan naka-OJT.

All of the students' attention within the room was quickly drawn by his presence. I mean, hindi ko naman sila masisisi.

Jayscen was wearing an oversized black sweatshirt, complementing his broad shoulder. His sweatshirt was tucked inside his baggy jeans. His hair was in a usual ruffled style that I find so much appealing to his face's soft features.

Mayroon siyang inabot sa akin na tote bag at panigurado akong may laman 'yon na pagkain. Lagi niya naman akong dinadalhan ng pagkain pero madalas kasi ay nagbabaon ako. So it was really surprising to see him here right now, sa loob mismo ng campus ng school na 'to, at sa mismong classroom.

"My bad, Sunrize. I couldn't reach your phone number," he answered as his lips formed straight. He's acting cute now, is he?

"Hala!" Agad kong kinuha ang phone ko sa bulsa at nakita kong walang signal. Nerbyos akong ngumiti. "Walang signal dito!"

Medyo napalakas ang pagkakasabi ko noon kaya napatingin ang mga binabantayan kong students mula sa classroom. Nag-peace sign lang ako ng kamay.

"It's alright, love. May one hour shift ka pa, 'di ba? I'll pick you up later. Anyways, I have something for you," aniya.
