Taylor got out of the car in front of the plains and she was shaking her head at the illusion as she unhinged and then opened her jaw, as she let out a fearsome roar.
The illusion fell, revealing Wes as he was looking at them with a grim look on his face and she nodded.
"Hey Julianna, somebody wants to speak to you." Wes said and now, Julianna walked over to the massive house, which had been rebuilt over the years and there were also multiple barns, scattered around.
"All right!" Julianna announced loudly, bringing the attention of everybody over to her as everyone was turning to look at her and they were ready to listen. "All of the standard vehicles go into Barn Numbers One through Three. The trucks and trailers go into Four and Five. Darren can direct you guys, he can also park the vehicles. As soon as we are parked and unloaded, find yourself bunks to sleep in. Let's get to work!" With the loss of Lorna, Julianna was quite effectively slipping back into her old position with the Underground, even after she had left for so long.
It was almost like she had just never left to begin with, Taylor was thinking with a smile on her face and she was following Julianna into the main big house, as Julianna walked down the steps into the war room that every mutant used as an ops planning station.
"What's the situation?" Julianna asked and she joined a few others at the table as Taylor hesitated on the outside of the room. "Taylor get over here, we need your help." Julianna's voice was clear.
"What are we even looking at here?" Taylor asked as she was joining them. "Wait, this is Trask." Taylor said and Julianna glanced over at her, before Taylor sighed. "Why are we looking over the Trask Industries blueprints, again?" She asked bluntly.
"Because the remainder of the survivors from Macon were brought to Trask." Julianna was explaining patiently and Taylor's eyebrows lifted. "Most of them were children who had only just begun to access their mutations and any of the older mutants, they were at most 19 years old. All of them were taken to Trask Industries and now, we need to break them out." Taylor looked around the table and she recognized some of the faces, seeing that most of them were contacts from Macon and she nodded.
"So, what exactly do you need from me?" Taylor asked.
It was a time of preparation, everybody around on Julianna's property, they all knew that at least something was happening but, hardly anybody actually knew what it was. John had been filled in about the plans and he was in, willing to help them. Even more so, once he learned that the prisoners were mostly mutant children. Marcos was also willing to help and Lauren was eager to add her help into the pile of offers.
The group was ready to bring more people home. Julianna had a team of people with construction, electrical and engineering experience, all working on building new homes for their quickly growing group.
Thank to Darren's knowledge of where all the electrical, the pipes and everything else were running, they could build safely without most of the legality issues that tend to come with it all the time.
Meanwhile, Julianna and Taylor had been pouring over the plans for Trask Industries and they were all too ready to take action but they were also fully aware that despite Senator Montez and Doctor Campbell being gone, that the Trask Labs would still be well defended.
"Today is the day." Julianna decided and Taylor looked at her. "Get Lauren, John and Marcos. We leave in ten." She said and Taylor was looking at her.
"But, we don't need any equipment or anything?" Taylor asked and Julianna was looking at her with a small smile on her face as she shook her head.
"I am basically a human bomb myself, Taylor... Well, once I'm able to unleash the Fenris Force anyways." Julianna pointed out and Taylor was nodding. "How is your hearing?" She asked softly.
"Not good, Jules." Taylor admitted and she was shaking her head real quickly. "I would imagine that it is almost like your regular hearing right now but for me..." She shook her head. "It's like I can't hear a damn thing." Taylor whispered and Julianna was walking over to her, before she gave her a hug.
"When you are with us on this mission, you need to stick by John. You understand me?" At the words, Taylor nodded slightly. "You need to let us protect you for once, Taylor. You are the anchor for our group, Tay, you cannot let your fear overrule your judgement." Julianna said as Taylor said nothing. "Go find Marcos, John and Lauren. Go!" Julianna ordered and Taylor was walking quickly away.
Taylor knocked on the open door of the training gym where she had a feeling, that she would find the mutants she needed.
John was beating on a metal wall, which had been reinforced and reforged, judging by the amount of fist marks and dents in it.
Marcos was lighting up targets that were rotating along the wall as he was seemingly determined to get at least five in a row with no stops or pauses in between. "You're taking too long to glow up." Taylor realized and Marcos stopped, before he was turning around to look at her.
"What?" Marcos asked in confusion.
"You are taking too long, by trying to converse your light blasts for even more powerful ones." Taylor said simply as she walked into the room. "Just shoot out less powerful blasts, you'll be able to get more targets in a row." She said and Marcos was looking over at John, who had stopped his punching of the wall, to listen.
"John?" Marcos asked and the other mutant nodded.
"She's right." John said easily and Marcos sighed at the words, before he was trying it all again.
Taylor was silently waiting for them out by the car along with Julianna, who was now swiftly already in the driver's seat of another vehicle nearby. Marcos and John walked out of the house and they were separating into another two vehicles, while Taylor jumped into one of the vehicles with John.
John's phone rang and he was propping it up on the dashboard before Taylor just held it in her hand. "So you'll go in first, block the guns as we run?" John confirmed.
"Yup. That's the plan." Julianna said as she was accepting the call from Marcos on another phone in her own vehicle. "They have Bernie too, he's their main target." She said and they all were groaning.
"Bernie Drake?" Taylor asked and she was thinking to herself before her eyes flashed when she realized what it meant. "Holy shit, they've got Iceman's kid?" She exclaimed.
"Yep. Which is part of the reason why we are doing this now, so that we never have to worry about any of these kids again." Julianna stated. "I'm not letting another mutant be brought to their knees by the research, never again."
Taylor and John looked at each other, recognizing exactly what she was saying. She was just saying that she would never let another mutant become, what poor Gus and poor Chloe, had become. Julianna had sworn to herself that she would end the Hound Program and she would do it now, today. And god help anybody, who dared to stand in her way.
