"I'm home!" Darren and Kat were charging over to the door to help with the bags of all sorts of groceries as Liliana was carrying them in her arms.
Gus and Julianna followed with the rest of them and the twins were grinning, as they were happy to see their parents.
Actually, ever since their dad had retired from the military, they were always happy to see their dad.
"All right, let's get cooking! You guys know the drill, we have a bunch of people coming over. Let's do this!" Julianna said with a bright grin on her face.
"Darren and Kat with me on the grill outside. Jaime on desserts that aren't going to be frozen... Hey, is the entirety of the other bloodline coming?" Gus asked and he was interrupting himself as Liliana nodded.
"Yeah. Well, not my parents. But the four of them, yes. Reed, Caitlin, Lauren and Andrew are all coming. Andrew will probably eat three burgers on his own." Liliana stated.
It was hours later when the guests were starting to arrive, when August was put on door duty. The youngest of their family loved to be on the door duty, it meant that she didn't have to do anything else, but to talk to people.
Bobby and Rogue arrived first with a lot of presents and by the time that most of their guests had arrived, the gifts had begun spilling into the massive living room from how many there were.
They were waiting on two more groups to arrive and they were hoping that they could eat soon.
The X-Men mingled amongst the Brotherhood still, while Liliana was laughing with the other teachers as Pyro was putting on a big show for the younger kids that had come along with their parents.
Swiftly making shapes with the flames that he manipulated out of his lighter, since he'd decided that it was better to be carrying instead of visible flamethrowers to be carried on his back.
Julianna and Gus were watching the chaos going on and she was shaking her head at it all. "Remind me again whose idea it was, to throw a huge Christmas party every single year?" Julianna was wondering innocently and Gus sighed.
"All right, you win. This was a terrible idea." Gus admitted quietly and Julianna shrugged, before she clinked her glass with his.
"I just wanted to hear you say it." Julianna said and he was looking over at her, before she was shrugging. "What? Are you regretting my input?"
"No, I'm just glad that you're still here. Not running for the hills, like I was absolutely expecting you to do." Gus stated and Julianna sighed, before she reached out a hand and laced her fingers with his.
"I absolutely wanted to. But I made you a promise to never run for the hills, even if it was a mistake of your making. So... A promise, is a promise." Julianna said and then he smiled, before she was shaking her head. "So... Do you want to deal with the children climbing the Christmas tree? Or, would you rather rescue the cats from the constantly teleporting that Uplink is doing to them?"
"I'll take the kids." Gus said immediately before she was looking at him. "Never mind, I will deal with Uplink."
"I love you." Julianna said and Gus shrugged, before he was walking over. "Get down from the Christmas tree, right now!"
At the shouted words, all of the kids were jumping down and Julianna looked satisfied with the solution.
A sudden roar tore through the area and everybody jumped, as the last group had finally arrived.
Taylor's eyes flashed with mischief at the sight of everybody frozen, before the talk had started up again.
Her and John walked into the house with presents in their hands and then, they were immediately followed by Clarice and James with smiles on their faces. "I didn't think that it would get this crazy." Julianna said and she was hugging Taylor, who returned the gesture. "Merry Christmas, Fern." She murmured and Taylor sighed.
"Merry Christmas, Von Strucker." Taylor murmured softly and while they hugged, John and Gus were quickly clasping their hands together. Clarice and James were swiftly introducing themselves as Darren and Kat were attempting to stack the presents up, while everybody went up for food in groups.
After an exhausting Christmas party and a bunch of gift openings. Most people had left the home and it was just really John and Taylor, plus Julianna, Gus and their family left.
"Promise me that you will warn us, if you are ever going to have a party that big, ever again." Taylor said to Julianna, who nodded slightly and she was hugging her. "Don't be a stranger, okay? Please just come and visit us all, once and a while." She murmured and then Julianna smiled, before she nodded again at the words.
John and Taylor were crashing in one of their more recently-built guest houses and John was silently sitting on the roof. John blinked, when he heard the roof creaking underneath some other weight and he was looking over his shoulder to see Taylor.
"Are you intending to stay up here just on your own, all night?" She wondered and he shrugged, before he slightly moved over to let her sit next to him. "If so, then I might join you. It's too..."
"Stuffy in there?" John finished and she nodded. "That's what I thought." He said as she felt one of his arms moving around her.
"So... Johnny, do you remember how I told you that I went to the doctor the other day? That I was going, because I thought that there might be something seriously wrong with me?" Taylor asked cautiously and John looked at her, before he nodded.
"Yeah, why? What's wrong?" John asked immediately and then she was looking at him, before she slowly shook her head.
"There's nothing wrong, John." She said as he was narrowing his eyes, trying to figure out what he had been missing. "I thought that there was, but there isn't."
"So then, why..." John stopped as he heard an unfamiliar sound, his enhanced hearing picked up on it. Taylor watched him, before he looked at her. "Is that what I think?" John asked quietly and Taylor smiled at him.
John reached down to her stomach silently with his other hand, before he was listening and waiting. John felt a kick and he was looking at Taylor, who was all smiles and he was looking at her. "Christmas miracle?"
"Christmas miracle." Taylor agreed quietly and they were hugging one another, before they were watching the moon overhead and to their surprise, it began to snow.
