Jungkook stands in front of Jimin, his demeanor radiating a gentle kindness that immediately puts Jimin on edge. He feels an inexplicable urge to keep his thoughts to himself, not wanting to reveal the reason behind his unease. Instead, he braces himself for Jungkook’s persistent questioning, knowing that he might have to fend off his curiosity.

Jimin hesitates, unsure of how to approach the situation. The warmth in Jungkook's voice makes him feel a little more at ease, but he still grapples with his reluctance. After a moment of silence, he finally admits, "I didn't really pay attention during the lecture in class."

Jungkook simply responds with an inquisitive "hm," his expression encouraging Jimin to continue.

Taking a deep breath, Jimin pushes through his hesitation. "The teacher called on me to stand up and answer a question. Surprisingly, I was able to answer it," he shares, his voice a mix of pride and disbelief. He pauses, reflecting on the moment before continuing, "After that, the teacher asked me if I wanted to take over as the class homeroom. I thought about it, but I didn't feel like I could handle it, so I turned it down."

A thick silence hangs between them as Jimin processes his own words, unsure of how Jungkook will react. He glances at Jungkook, searching for any hint of judgment, but finds none. Instead, Jungkook remains still, his gaze steady and understanding, like a well-behaved kid listening intently.

"Then he asked me to ask my parents to come over," As he finishes speaking, he feels the world around him fade into a hushed stillness.

Jimin feels a wave of anxiety wash over him as Jungkook remains silent. Unable to hold back, he finally says, "Trust me."

Jungkook, with a playful smirk, replies, "I really have a bit of distrust in you." His laughter fills the room, and Jimin can't help but notice how charming he looks, especially with that bunny-like smile revealing two of his teeth. It’s hard to ignore how handsome Jungkook is, and his laughter makes him seem even brighter.

As they stand close together, Jimin suddenly feels uneasy, especially with the lingering scent of a cigarette in the air. It’s an uncomfortable feeling, but he pushes through it, mustering his courage to speak again. "What I'm saying is true," he insists.

Jungkook raises an eyebrow, still skeptical. "Really, you're not lying to me?" he asks, his tone teasing yet curious.

Jimin nods sincerely, his heart racing. "No, it's real. If you don't trust me, you can go and find out tomorrow. The teacher will tell you the truth."

Just then, the door swings open, and Taehyung steps in, completely ignoring the two of them as he heads straight for his wardrobe. "Jimin, get out. Mom is calling you," he says, and Jimin immediately feels guilty for framing his brother. But he doesn't want to leave things unresolved. "Couldn't I stay here?" he mumbles, hoping to stay a little longer.

Taehyung turns his head, a fake smile plastered on his face. "I want to change my clothes," he says dismissively.

Determined to continue his conversation with Jungkook, Jimin grabs Jungkook's sleeve again and insists, "Then this hyung... should go out too. I don't think he'll want to see you changing."

But Taehyung just acts like he didn't hear him and insists, "Go out and close the door."

Jimin takes that as a sign of agreement and pulls Jungkook outside, saying, "Okay, we'll close the door."

Taehyung watches the two of them for a while, then just waves his hand. He's too lazy to pay attention to them.

After coming out of the room, Jimin immediately pulls Jungkook into his room. He closes the door and asks impatiently, "Hyung, will you come tomorrow? I already told you the truth..."
