Go to the hole, you will not regret it.

Never ever, trust a devil saying that. As for me, I am one of the few idiots that dared to take those words to the heart. Through a door, I stepped into this place, filled with doubt. Before it closed, I placed one foot through the gap, "And what am I supposed to do here?" It seems that my body had an idea, as my stomach began to rumble.

His voice sounded friendly, "You can eat something for a start."

"I can do that in the sorcerer's world."

Not paying attention to my foot, he kicked it away, "You should be grateful instead of complaining. See ya."

The loud bang of the door made me jump, but something else has shocked me even more, "Hey! You forgot to give me money...asshole!!!" The money I had was not meant for the hole, I needed a job and quickly.

The hole was nothing to be impressed about, just another ordinary town, filled with creatures of all kinds. Sometimes it is hard to tell which one is human and what isn't, considering that they are used as guinea pigs from sorcerers. There wasn't a time where I wished to have gone to this dimension. I was happy in the world of sorcerers. Although, humans are rare at their dimension, constantly hiding under masks, pretending to be someone else was the only way to survive. My parents escaped through one of those doors the sorcerers have made, keeping me hidden in an attic, while they worked downstairs at a restaurant. Without some support from sorcerers, we might have been killed by now. The devil found me by accident, since he was still a young one, learning how to fly. His first attempt made him crash into the restaurant. As a child, I wasn't aware of such beings like devils or demons. He fell right onto my bed; at least that is what I called it, a tiny mattress on the floor. Instead of feeling frightened, I slowly walked over to the large creature, poking its side with a pencil. Suddenly, it moaned out in pain. The reaction caused for me to leave him there, sneaking into the kitchen. My parents were too busy to notice something small, taking some things out of the fridge and the first aid kit on the wall. With a broom, I managed to get it off. With all the supplies gathered, I went back up to the attic, seeing the creature sitting on my bed. Still moaning, he held on to his head. The clank of the first aid kit made him look up. Red eyes watched with curiosity, as my big eyes stared back at him. The minute he made a move, I got back to the box, getting bandages out. In my other hand, I gave him a small plastic bag, filled with several meatballs. With a raised eyebrow, he had to ask, "They are frozen." "But food" I replied, smiling wide. With my hands I pretended to eat, telling him to do just that. Hesitating at first, he reached out to the meatballs, biting into the hard rock of meat. His insides made it cook up in an instant, not aware that he was capable of that. Pleased, he continued to eat away, while I inspected his form. His wing had a few holes inside and his shoulder was bleeding. Occupied the creature didn't pay attention to me, while I filled the wholes with plaster. By the end of it all, his entire wings were covered with plaster, looking like he was hit by several snowballs that won't melt. The shoulder was the only thing he notices, since the meatballs have run out. Looking at me up close, he noticed my interest was directly at his wound. Feeling unsure of how to react, he let me help him. Although, I wasn't an expert, he was a mixture of devil, snowman and zombie, the bandages were everywhere. My kindness is nothing to be proud of, not in this dimension would consider this a good trade. Demons see such things as weakness that could be easily taken advantage of, but for him, a rookie, was this uncalled for. The only thing he did in return, was just to leave me be. He didn't mention it to any other demon or devil, knowing that it could kill me. Humans aren't allowed to be in this world without permission. If they do so, they get executed right away. His interest in me remained, keeping an eye on that restaurant once in a while.

The only thing he couldn't prevent, was my punishment.

The restaurant owner was having a fit, seeing most of the meatballs missing and the box removed, but the worst part, was leaving the broom on the ground. The waitress fell over it, destroying an entire box of meatballs. Because of that, he had to close the restaurant sooner than expected. Finding the small bag and the first aid kit in my room made it obvious who it was, even though they didn't believe me for what I needed for. For this, I had to clean the kitchen floor and the toilets forever. Some may get a week for this, but no, sorcerers can be extremely harsh and the owner was no exception. Once I was older, I found out the truth about this harsh treatment. The owner believed me with that devil thing, but refused to tell anyone, even so he wanted to make sure that I keep myself busy, so that I won't get into trouble again.

Well said, since the biggest trouble wasn't the devil I met.

It was the eyes of two sorcerers that saw me stealing the meatballs. They didn't say anything, just watched me sneaking of to the stairs where I came from. The two weren't too keen to let anyone know what they saw; instead, they invited someone over to the restaurant. He should see me with his own eyes.

His judgment will change my life...either for good...or worse.
