45. Just doing my job!

The young doctor and Johnson were waiting for their devil to appear.

As expected, she was happy to see her husband after for such a long time. Although her mood changed quickly, as Kasukabe asked about the human from En.

"There is no use in talking about it" she sees my life as sealed; it is only a matter of time till I die. The doc however, demanded to know something, "Please, tell me everything you know. Please honey, she seems to matter to a good friend of mine."

"The lizard man" Haru knows about that, "He should give it up."

"Why is a powerful sorcerer interested in a non magic being like her? It doesn't make sense"

"She was supposed to be executed, but Chidaruma has other plans for her. Believe me, the ideas in his head are far worse than death" She shook her head, as her husband asked for the plans the devils have in mind. It was a secret that only they know, "All I can say is that it will affect the world of sorcerer big time. For your own life, I want you to go back to Hole and never return while she is alive."

"There is something you are not telling me"

"Indeed, I have my reasons. For your own sake, I advise you to destroy your make up door."

"Oh you know?"

Haru grinned, "A devil always knows." She opened a door for him to leave. With one last kiss, he wished her all the best for her, while the large insect followed him. He had to tell the news to Kaiman and the others. Haru transported the two to the hospital.

Kaiman was already on his way there.

He wasn't as calm as Nikaido thought, it was all an act. His blood was boiling. Her friend called Vaux as a precaution, advising him to keep his distance to the lizard man. What they both aren't aware, was that he listened to the conversation. The doc was irritated for what Nikaido demanded, "What? Why should I lock him up? He wasn't to go back, for her? Yeah...aha...I understand...I try my best...okay...see you later." For Kaiman was this hard to take in. His hands clenched up in fists, feeling nothing but hatred. He feels betrayed from everyone, "If that is how you are going to play...then you can play on your own Nikaido." Vaux waited for the lizard man to arrive, but the only one that came through the door, was Kasukabe and Johnson.

"How did you two get here?"

"My wife brought us back. Is Kaiman here?"

Vaux checked the time, "Nikaido called me to stop him to go through the magic door, I guess he will be here any minute."

"Shocking! Shocking!" The two doctors stared at Johnson, while he pointed out the window. Kasukabe looked out, "I think we are too late."

"What do you mean?!"

The young man sighted, "Kaiman is on his way to my place"

"What?????" The three had to watch him steal a car, driving on full speed down the road. Stopping him now would be impossible. Vaux began to sweat, "What shall I tell Nikaido?"

"The truth..." advised him Kasukabe, "...she may not see him ever again."

"That good-for-nothing lizard brain!"

While he had to give Nikaido the bad news, the young doc looked out the window a little while longer, "So you go this far to save her? I admire that."

"...shocking..." Johnson looked very sad now. He isn't so good with farewells, leaning against Kasukabe for comfort. "Don't worry; I am sure they come back..." It wasn't very convincing, but what else should he say to the large insect?

It sun was about to rise in Hole and so it does in the world of the sorcerer.

En woke up from his slumber. Without opening his eyes, he moved closer to my body, wrapping his arms around my waist. He liked the feeling, as I held his hands close to mine. For the man in red, was this quite a pleasant feeling, he could get used to that. Overwhelmed by the warmth of my body he got closer to my back, kissing my shoulder gently, "Morning my dear. Did you sleep well?" He heard me hum. A smile came to En's lips, "Me too, maybe we can do it more often. What do you say?"

"I love to En"

"..." the sorcerer was suddenly wide awake. That wasn't my voice he heard.

Instantly, he backed off from the body, seeing the bird man on my bed side, looking all in love at him, "We can do this every night En"

The sorcerer in red panicked, "N/A, where are you?!"

"I am over here" I stood near his cupboard, getting his suit ready for the day.

"Since when are you awake?!"

I shrugged, "Around six, I think."

"What is Chota doing in my bed?!"

I had to bite my tongue not to laugh; the sight was just too awkward. Two men sitting beside each other in bed is not unusual, but one that looks like he is panicking and the other acts like he had best night of his life, that was the funny part, "I had to take care of your clothes, so he offered himself to take my place."

"You allowed it?!"

I checked the booklet, "There is no rule against that"

"Oh, there will be one now..."En checked the time, "...it's nine o clock?!" The thought that he cuddled up to the bird idiot for three hours, made him want to puke. For this, he demanded to be scrubbed raw by me, till the feeling gets off his skin. In my head I just thought about it. Who told him to take off his shirt in the middle of the night? I swear he had it on as I fell asleep. En left the bed chamber, cleaning his mouth from the kiss earlier. Chota on the other hand, couldn't stop talking about it, even taking a smoke in bed, "I tell you hun that was the best night ever."

I shrugged, "Whatever you say babe." It was only for a few hours but whatever, if he is happy, so am I. The bird man can be nice, when you don't get in his way with the boss. Speaking of him, he returned later on, pale as a sheet.
