40. Survival instincts

I didn't know that En was a business man.

Despite being a powerful sorcerer, he has a lot of influence in this world, good contacts to the devils and owns a lot of companies. Even that man had lost his restaurant to the man in red, sold it off for a small amount. The man went bankrupt and needed the money. En didn't show any sign of sympathy, even throwing him out like dirt once the contract was signed. I closed my eyes, while ignoring the man's cries through the mansion. "You get used to it. Sympathy doesn't belong in the world of a business man" he said casually, asking for the next appointment. The party for Noi was all held outside.

At the garden, other servants were already waiting for En to arrive.

He had to inspect the menu, the entertainments, decoration and many more things. While he was busy giving orders, I just stood there, feeling close to snooze off. The sound of something got me back to my senses.

"Nya? (Miss me?)"

Crap, not again! The cat thing came straight towards me, jumping into my arms. En heard the noise, looking in my direction, "Kikurage, where have you been the whole time?"

"Nya...nya...aaaa...nya...(In the bushes, she threw me out!)"

The way it smelled was horrible, the men in red instantly backed off, "Get Kikurage clean, come back when you done..." he grabbed my shoulder holding it tight, "...you got thirty minutes."

For that cat thing alone, it has an own room. A paradise for a pet, having all it desires. Kikurage however, didn't want to wait for a bath. It jumped out of my arms, climbing on to the highest platform it could find. That means, after I got the water ready, I have to catch this stink bomb. I couldn't believe that it even got an own bathroom. That guy has way too much money!

Outside the room, were two servants cleaning the corridor.

Kaiman used the opportunities when the other man didn't look. Quickly he opened one door and closed it fast. By the time he reached Kikurage's room, I was in the bath. Kaiman sighted, "Not here either, damn, where is she?"

"Hey, we are not allowed to open doors!"

The lizard got tense and apologized quickly. Back on all fours, he had to shrub the floor. He was already sick and tired of working, even though he just began to work. The entire corridor will take them a few minutes, so it should be easy for him to endure this.

While I was getting annoyed with that cat thing.

Kikurage just stared at me bored, as I poked its belly with a broom stick, "Move you lazy ass!"

"Nya...(no)"

Poking it won't work, what else can I use? Nothing else was longer than the broom...but one thing may have an advantage. Kikurage didn't expect this, panicking as the long piece of metal got in its face. Who knew that a vacuum cleaner could be helpful in this situation?

Minutes later, the cat thing got curious, looking inside the pipe.

I grinned evil, turning on the machine, "Say cheese!"

Flop!

"NYA! (Get it off!)"

The creature whined loud, while the nose end was inside the pipe. Not torturing the creature any further, I turned off the vacuum cleaner. Next off; the bath tub, some cats don't like water and this creature was one of them. It kept screaming, once it got in contact with the water. Constantly trying to get out, it splashed around, making me wet in the process. It was all pointless; this creature was just too fast for me. Slipping through my hands, it ran out the room.

Kaiman was proud of his work, so was the other servant.

Happy they looked down the corridor, while beside him opened the door. Kikurage wasn't even halfway clean, destroying the clean with its paws and pet patches all over the place. Kaiman was about to go after the cat thing, as I accidentally crashed into him.

Furious of Kikurage, I didn't even have time to look at the guy, "Watch it!"

The lizard man didn't know what just happened, "What the hell?!" The hit made him fall to the ground, where he still sat, cursing the one who pushed him. The other servant couldn't care less, "Here." He handed him a mop, Kaiman was irritated, "What the hell am I supposed to do with this?!"

"Get back to clean"

The entire corridor had to be cleaned again. If Kaiman didn't have his mask on, his jaw would be wide open in disbelieve, "Huh?????"

Outside, En heard the constant shouting from me.

I kept screaming for this creature to stop running, as it went towards the sorcerer in red. EN was far from pleased, "Kikurage is still smelly."

"I am sorry En, it won't take a bath"

The cat thing looked at the owner, making sweet sounds. The sorcerer sighted, "I clean Kikurage later on." You should have seen the look on the cat's face, it was priceless. It didn't expect to get another water experience today. I am supposed to assist him on that, while his eyes look very annoyed, "Erase the appointment for tonight and replace it with 'Kikurage's bath' for 10pm."

"Yes En"

At the end of the day, Kaiman didn't even get close to find Nikaido. He was forced to peel potatoes and mushrooms that took hours of his time. The moment he had the last potato done was already nighttime. Kaiman sighted out frustrated, he just wanted this nightmare to end.

Unlike him, I finally had a fun time.

It was hilarious how Kikurage did the exact same thing with En. It climbed up to the highest place and remained up there. Unlike me that have no powers, the sorcerer used mushrooms to push off the creature from the platform. But when it came to the bath, not even his powers could stop it from going on a rampage. A powerful sorcerer, soaking wet, got frustrated by cleaning his own pet, it was a hilarious sight. I watched from the distance mind, not wanting another shower.
