44. Bad morning

I didn't want to be here.

En pushed my back, as I entered his bedchamber. They looked around for the cat thing, as I noticed the mushrooms on the doors, "Wasn't this another room of yours?"

"Kikurage didn't stop getting on my nerves. Anyway, lets not talk about that..." he patted the side of his bed, "...you should get some sleep." To share the bed with my boss is very uncomfortable. I began to tremble, still standing before it. En sighted, "I won't bite." That may be so, but you can do worse things, screamed my mind. He doesn't seem to be all too patient with me, pulling on my arm. Fear took over, as his arms travelled around my back, holding me close to him. Shutting my eyes, I waited for the worst case. Will he turn me into a mushroom or may have his way with me? The more I thought about it, my heartbeat increased rapidly. His arms pulled my entire body against his chest, while my head is lying on his shoulder. I didn't want be close to this man, I don't want to do anything with him...

Zzzzzzzzzz

"Huh?" he didn't snore, just his breathing got slower, on a steady rhythm. Who knew that En could fall asleep this quick? A while ago, he wasn't capable to get back and now...he was knocked out. Unlike the sorcerer, I was still wide awake. To be near this dangerous man in a situation like this, is not what I had in mind. My plan was just to distract him from the devil door, not to get into his bed with him afterwards. Since he is my boss, I don't really have a chance of refusing this?

Zzzzzzzzzz

Oh well, I guess it has to be that way. I thought over what happened, thinking of Nikaido and Kaiman and what they are doing right now. I guess that the lizard man doesn't want to see me ever again, since we always fight and get in trouble with each other, what is the point of saving me? He already did that once, not every man goes through this situation a second time for a woman. Although I am glad that Nikaido got away. I hope that Kaiman keeps her save from En, making sure that she will never come here again. The man in red moved a little, as one of his hand moved from my back to my hair. His warmth made me feel sleepy. As much as I try to stay awake, the strength of my body was just stronger, closing my eyes slowly.

Meanwhile, in Hole was it dark as well.

Nikaido sat on the ground while watching her old friend hitting a lamppost over and over again. His knuckles are already bleeding, but Kaiman didn't care. That I just pushed him and closed the door afterwards didn't make any sense to him. Nikaido could only guess my motives, assuming that I was trapped and wasn't capable to leave. The lizard man shook his head, "Her foot was halfway through the door that is not the reason. Damn, I told her to stay in Hole!"

"Where did you leave her?"

"She should go to the hospital and wait there...wait...hospital..." his eyes turned dark, "...why didn't they stop her?" Referring to the two doctors, Kaiman wanted answers. Nikaido was still too weak to stop her tall friend to go on a rampage. She feared for the two men's lives, especially when Kaiman gets his hands on their throats. Her friend hoped to get him back to his senses before he reached the building, "Clam down that is not the right time to kill off friends."

"Friends...friends?!" Those friends let her go back to the world of sorcerers!"

"What if something happened?"

"No way, I bet she used the doc's magic door" Kaiman was sure of that, pushing Nikaido slightly ot the side, "I have to get her back..." suddenly, his eyes turned soft, "...I owe it to her." He meant the situation, where he almost killed me. He sees it as a good way to make it up to me, "Nikaido, as my best friend, will you at least listen to me and stay in Hole?" She looked at him worried, "You are going back, right?"

"I have to..." The lizard man was sure of that, "...and I won't come back without N/A."

"You truly love her, don't you?"

Although his massive blush on his scales is pretty clear; his mouth didn't admit it, "No way! I just give her a piece of my mind, she owes me that much! " Nikaido sighted, "You looked quite happy as she kissed your hand."

Kaiman remembered, looking disgusted at it, "I want happy! I have to disinfect my hand, who knows where she has been the whole time." Nikaido couldn't believe it, that he seriously resembles my affection with germs. She knew better that his random talks are just rubbish, refusing his true feelings to come out in words. His body is a lot better with that. Even so, it means that Nikaido had to see her old friend leave her again. At least Kaiman calmed down a little, not feeling the need to kill off the doctors anymore. Nikaido only had one wish for her friend, "Kaiman, at least eat one last time some Gyoza with me, please." The lizard man could never refuse this, since they are his favorites, "You bet I will!" At the back of his head, he already planned a large bento box for his trip too. He offered Nikaido to get back to her restaurant, while he goes to see Vaux, "I need to know some answers before I go and you can make the Gyozas ready in the meantime."

"Okay, don't be too long Kaiman."
