43. Close to danger

We both decided to find Nikaido together.

On one hand because I got a map and the other is, that Kaiman's nerves can rest in peace. Since that we reunited at such an unfortunate situation, he wouldn't let me go as I please, especially not in a place like this. Chota was also a guide for us, coming along in an En costume and several merchandize he desperately wanted for his room. With us all working together, it didn't take long till we found the chambers. Nikaido was already wide awake and seems to be glad to see us.

"Kaiman, N/A, how did you get here?"

The lizard man kept this side for the story short, keeping a few details to him. That he was responsible for her taking a long nap, is something that he will regret for a long time. The birdman knew how to open these doors, letting us all escape this mansion.

"Thank you sir" I said, making the man blush a little.

"No big deal, as long as this cow is far away from En, I don't care." Unfortunately, his friendly nature didn't last long, knowing that I also am too close to the sorcerer in red. With that said, he told us to get lost while we still can. But not one of us can make a door and the birdman refused to do one.

Kaiman got furious, "We can't escape without a door bird brain!"

"How dare you call me that?!"

"Then make a bloody door!"

Chota shook his head, "Never!"

Nikaido and I watched the scene for a while, until the birdman pointed at the sorcerer of time, "Let that cow make it!" Of course, she is also a sorcerer. Kaiman shook his head, "Nikaido will not use her powers; she promised me!"

That is when I got between the two men, "This is an emergency Kaiman"

"He is right N/A. I won't use my magic"

Are all people going mad now?! "Nikaido, everyone's lives are on the line. Just break it this once!"

She refused it, looking away. I guess I had to use my card, summoning Gura Gura. For everybody present, were all stunned to see me calling a devil? Kaiman got insecure, coming towards me, "N/A, are you a sorcerer?"

"I am not, I swear it"

Gura Gura, now in his dog/ human form, asked me of my wish. It was simple of what I wanted, "A door to Hole!"

"As you wish" taking the card off my hand, he made the portal appear behind us, "It will be gone in five minutes." Before he left, his mouth came to my ear whispering, "I shall see you soon." Kaiman carried Nikaido bridal style, while shouting over for me to get a move on. What no one of us knew was that the lord of the manor...was awake.

Kikurage didn't give a rest.

It went so far, till En threw it into the other room, closing the doors with several mushrooms. He couldn't fall asleep anymore, wanting to use this time wisely. For this, he needs his personal servant. That he found my room empty was not what he expected though, not in the middle of the night. To find me, he woke up his staff, demanding them to search the whole mansion.

The entire place was lighting up, taking us by surprise.

Chota knew what this meant, "En is awake, hurry and get through that door!" Kaiman had his friend already on the other side, coming back to get me, "What are you waiting for?" He grabbed my hand tightly, pulling me along. Before my foot could even take a step, I froze.

"...I can't leave..."

"What the hell are you talking about? Move your ass woman!" the lizard man didn't expected me to take his hand in mine, kissing the back of it, "...goodbye Kaiman." He tried to catch my arm, but my sudden kick towards his ribcage took him by surprise. Now lying on the ground in Hole, Kaiman had to see me close the door.

"What the hell your doing N/A?!"

"I'll die when I leave...it is for the best" his eyes widened, once the portal was closed. No matter how much he tried to turn the doorknob, it won't open, "Damn it N/A, open up!!!!!!!"

From the other side, I heard him banging against it, screaming for me to open the door. Chota was just as annoyed of this as Kaiman, "Why are you doing this?!" From the distance, we could hear people coming towards us. The birdman, still pissed over my actions, got another surprise as I pulled on his En pillow.

"Give me that!!!"

Chota didn't want to, pulling on the others side, "Never, he is mine!!!!"

"I can't sleep without it!!!"

"Neither can I!!!!"

It seems my plan worked. Around the corner, the sorcerer in red and a handful of servants watched us fight over the fabric. Behind Chota, the door disappeared slowly, until there was nothing left. En didn't suspect a thing, at least not now. It was a good thing that we didn't stay in the chambers; otherwise we didn't have a suitable excuse for our ridiculous fight. In the corridor, I just told En that I couldn't sleep and was in need of something soft, "And then I found this room and that pillow. I couldn't help myself."

But Chota won't give up that easily, "Back off sister, its mine!"

"Enough!"

The bird man and I looked over to the sorcerer in red. Despite him wearing a PJ, he was still terrifying with his mask on, "Chota, take the pillow and get lost."

"Yay!" pleased, he cuddled the pillow in victory. It didn't last, until En grabbed my shoulder, "You may keep me company tonight." I shuddered as he got closer, "You can use me as your pillow if it helps you sleep." Oh dear no! I thought. Chota couldn't believe what he just heard, pressing the pillow tight, while pointing at me with two fingers, "I'll have my eye on you, sister." He and I won't become friends all too soon, unlike me, En couldn't care less. The sorcerer in red just needs some rest and so should his personal servant. En can't afford to have a useless servant that falls asleep on the job. For this, he would do what he can to prevent it, even when it means to have the servant in his bed.
