9. The start of something good

The two looked surprised in my direction, while I stared at the ground. Nikaido asked me how it went with the hunting, as I pointed at my clothes, "What do you think?" Kaiman tried to loosen up the situation, telling me that this overall I tried to get was not worth the plates, in my ears a really bad excuse for. The lizard guy tried another attempt, "Cheer up, it doesn't even look good. Save it up for some other clothes."

I frowned, "Or for the hospital bills when I get a bad cold from all these holes."

I couldn't wait, not only because I don't have anything to earn money with, but also the fact that it won't help me find a job. Nikaido used her own way to lift up the mood, serving us gyoza and beer. Depressed by my situation and what will come the next day, I grabbed Kaiman's arm. He was irritated at this, seeing me opening his hand, "What are you doing?"

"It is not enough for clothes, so use it for the food."

His jaw was wide open, seeing a small amount of money in his palm, "Really, for me?"

Nikaido noticed how sad I was, offering me to stay for one more night. Finding me sleeping in the streets is just too dangerous. Most of the time, sorcerers use these moments to practice their magic on homeless or drunk humans. She didn't want to feel responsible if anything happens to me and besides, I just made my first move towards Kaiman. The kindness I just gave him was the best start to form a friendship with each other. The lizard was at loss for words, he couldn't describe me at how amazed he was by this. All the thought he had about me, being rude, annoying and useless, just vanished. Still, he didn't say anything as I wished them two a good night, heading upstairs. At least I had one of Kaiman's shirts to wear tonight. Nikaido accepted my decision to sleep early and kept celebrating with her friend. That is, if he was up to it. Kaiman stood up and was ready to head out.

"Hey, where are you going Kaiman?"

"I got something to take care of, I will be back soon so don't eat all of the gyoza."

Later that night, the sorcerers Fujita and Ebisu arrived in hole.

Kikurage sniffed the ground, while the young sorcerer with the skull mask held her by the leash. The older boy with the long nose mask looked around, not feeling well in this place. En would inform them of who had helped me and where that someone had opened the door to hole. This way, they don't have to search the entire place for one human being. Ebisu sighted, holding the headless doll of me in her arms. She liked the figure and made some new clothes for it. Fujita sweat dropped at this, he didn't like the creation from En at all. Kikurage didn't seem to take this job seriously, constantly distracted by bugs. It killed the insects only to revive them from the dead...and kill them once more.

"We don't have time for games!"

Ebisu just shrugged, "Cute doll...nice curves."

"Focus Ebisu!" Fujita fears that En will not be pleased with them, if they take longer than expected. Their boss is very fond of punctuality.

Getting information around the word of sorcerers, En uses his contacts with the devils. Chidaruma could help him with anything. To get what he wants, En has to return the favor to the devil, although he never knows what Chidaruma wants. His expectations change from day to day. The devil knew about me and the escape caused by a creature of his own kind. His demand however, was not what En had in mind. Chidaruma laughed evil, pointing at the powerful sorcerer, "I didn't know you are fond of human women...aren't the sorcerer females not good enough for you anymore?"

En sighted, "Hate to disappoint you, but I was more interested to execute her myself, since she broke the laws of this world."

The devil knew, "Humans hiding in the world of sorcerers at damned to be killed and still they dare to break this rule. Even so En...execution...are you into that kinky stuff?" Chidaruma knew how to annoy the sorcerer, enjoying his frustration get to the limit, "Just tell me what you want and give me the information Chidaruma."

"Very well, the devil that helped her was Haru, it is not unusual of her to break the rules, but since the human escaped, I cannot punish her for that. As for your little girl, I rather see her not dead in your hands. I would like her to pay me a visit...you understand?"

En didn't like the demand, but was in no position to deny it, "Very well...is there a certain reason for this visit?"

"I will judge on what to do with her. As for your minions, Haru let her go outside at the town center and headed off the south side. Good luck En."

Back in Hole, Nikaido looked at the clock.

Her friend was already gone for an hour that is normally not his style, especially because she had his gyoza there to eat. Keeping them warm, she just drank three more cans of beer. Half an hour later, the lizard guy stormed into the restaurant, holding something under his arm, "Are the gyoza still there?"

"I warm them up for you"

"Good, I will be there shortly" Nikaido stared at her old friend, as he just went passed her.

Kaiman didn't ask for permission and went upstairs, finding me already sleeping in Nikaido's bed. Not to wake me up, he placed the item next to me and left the room in a hurry. I wasn't asleep just yet, opening one eye to see what was lying next to me. All of a sudden I got up from the bed, holding the item in front of my body. I was amazed by this, coming from Kaiman and all, but how did he get his hands on the overall? It was already sold out.

Nikaido laughed as the lizard guy came over to her table,"So it was for her after all?"

"Don't get any ideas; it was for the free gyoza; that is all there is to it. "

Knowing that he won't tell her the truth she just shrugged, "Whatever you say Kaiman. " He wouldn't tell Nikaido the truth. When he found me staring at the overall, at first he couldn't care less of what I wanted. It all changed as Thirteen heard of my wish. Kaiman didn't want this bastard to get anywhere near me, buying the overall straight away. Nikaido raised a brow, as it was lying over the kitchen supplies. At first she thought it was a present for her, but she never thought it could be a gift for me. This lizard guy was surely a mystery, even for Nikaido.
