18. A place to stay

Asu and Risu are doing their devil exam, so it will be hard to get into contact with them at the time.

Nikaido needs another way to handle this, thinking of the doctor and his experiment. However, she won't go on her own. This had to be planned to the very detail when Kaiman and I were to come along. Once I found out her plan, I couldn't help myself and explained the reason I don't want to come along twice. It was the bored expression of the two that tell me that they couldn't care less about it. It was decided and this is how it will be done. Dr. Kasukabe was pleased that we chose his door for get across, instead of Nikaido just making one herself. Unlike the last time, she was in no danger and she tries to keep up the promise to Kaiman, not to use magic in such situations.

The only one not pleased with that...was me.

We all had to wear a disguise, with bunny ears and a mask. It was my stubbornness that kept them waiting. Kaiman threw me over his shoulder, but I could grab on to the door frame, "Please don't make me go there again!!!!!"

"Relax; we are here to protect you."

Kaiman was right, but if I stay in Hole, he wouldn't have to. Kasukabe grabbed a ruler from his draw and slammed it onto my fingers. The door disappeared before I had the change to grab the knob, "I hate you guys!"

Nikaido stretched herself, "You're welcome. Not then, we have to get to the devil dine." It was one of the places, where you can meet the devils in a private room. She used another one the last time, but she can't remember where that was. The world of sorcerers has changes a little after the Hole incident. There attempt to get there however, was the same way. They got onto a flying carpet with driver and killed him before they landed. Of course, they also crashed the same way. At least I fell onto something soft, right on Kaiman.

Not too far off, flew devils around. One in particular got interested, "It can't be..."

Fujita and Ebisu had also returned back to the world of sorcerers, begging Noi to find Kikurage. For that, they needed help from Shin's pet Guragura. That dog helped her finding Shin before the end of the blue night. The woman stared at the two, while they were close to tears, "Please Noi, En will kill us if we don't get back his partner." Ebisu begged too, by keep saying 'please' all over again. Noi didn't hear of that assignment and neither did her partner. It got on her nerves, that her cousin is keeping such information from her, "Why did he give you his partner?"

"To track down a woman"

Noi got interested, "To kill?"

"To kidnap and bring her back to En...alive."

"Boring!" she said not seeing any reason to hand out Shin's pet. That is until their begging was unbearable. It was not like she had the choice, since Guragura had to decide this on his own. They were in luck, the devils realm was boring to for the dog devil, he accepted, in return for some good food. Like a dog that we all know, he got onto a leash and guided by Fujita to Hole. Ebisu tried to stay behind, as the boy pulled her along on her arm. Noi sees this as a thing to discuss with En, finding it unfair that he won't tell her what he is up to, leaving the part out that his partner is missing.

Meanwhile, Kaiman got the idea to make us stay at a restaurant.

It was someone he used to know back then and hoped that we can stay for a while at his place. Nikaido sees it the same way, staying as far away from En as possible. The building made me stop in my tracks.

It resembled the one I used to live in...the same place...but a new building.

"Is something N/A?" Kaiman waved his hands before my eyes, hoping to get some kind of reaction. It was a new restaurant, called 'Tanba'. The owner seems to know Kaiman very well, grabbing his spiky hair and starts yelling all sorts off stuff, which matched to the lizard man's personality. A few more people had also been there, welcoming us. I haven't met many friendly sorcerers, since when they helped humans; they are destined to be killed. Tanba, was the name of the owner, a huge man with a scary mask, even as he took it off...it was no improvement. The other three didn't look so terrifying. The owner however, allowed us to stay at his place under one condition. We all had to work in his place for a while. In my case, I was with Nikaido and another person, named Fukuyama, in the kitchen making meat bags. Kaiman had to get rid of the disposal or cleaned the toilets Tanba gave him the dirty work as payback, remembering how much meat bags he ate in secret or how he lacked off at work. Nikaido and I gave our best to fulfill the demands, while sorcerer customers are coming and going.

In Hole, Guragura had his fun using his skills as a dog.

However, the one attached at the end of the leash, was not as overjoyed. Fujita couldn't hold the dog under control, getting dragged along at a speed, where Ebisu had trouble to keep up. Kikurage on the other hand, watched it from the rooftop, enjoying the torture of the sorcerers...and the stolen chicken wing.
