10. On purpose

The next day, I had to get out there and find some work. In my new overall I was confident to leave the restaurant. Nikaido wished me good luck and a little bag of gyoza, "Let me know when you found something"

"Thank you Nikaido...for everything."

She waved it off, "If you got to thank anyone it is Kaiman. He got you the overall form the night of the living dead. I am sure you find something in hole to do."

"I hope so. Where is he now?"

I wasn't surprised to hear her say, that he was sleeping in. Since he only had the part time job, he wouldn't have anything else to do, although, I might be able to see him tonight at her restaurant. With confidence, I walked around town and asked in all shops for a job. That is what I done all day. After a while, I thought how lucky Nikaido was, having a restaurant and all.

But I wasn't aware of Nikaido's troubles.

It seems that she was short on cash too, in need to get it elsewhere. She knew only one place where you can make a lot of money in a few hours. However, the last time she almost got sold off by sorcerers if it wasn't for Kaiman. As much as she hated the option, it was the only thing Nikaido was got at...besides making gyoza. This time, she hid the leaflet in the mini fridge, so her lizard friend won't know where she had gone to. Getting ready, Nikaido was sure to win this by herself.

I wasn't so sure about the wining part, having no luck on the job search.

And why? Because a certain man decided to make it even harder for me. At a bar, I almost had the chance to be a barkeeper. Besides his creepy smile, I was prepared to take it anyway. But then, his face changed from creepy to scared, changing his mind instantly. As I asked him of why he would refuse, he pointed behind me. There, I stared at a large lizard face, "Hey there N/A, what are you doing?"

"What does it look like? I try to find a job"

The guy behind the bar got even more scared, as Kaiman glared in his direction, "That is no job for you."

Offended, I also looked towards the man, "Say, do you agree on this?"

"I think your boyfriend is right."

Instead of receiving a comment by Kaiman, he just nodded pleased, "See N/A."

Both of them jumped, as I slammed my hands on the counter, "He is not my boyfriend!!!" The guy stared over my head at the lizard guy. I didn't hear him, but as I turned around, he was smiling wide, along with a tiny blush, "You are not helping!!!" Pushing him aside, I stomped out the bar. With him tagging along, I won't be able to get any job. Such a tall guy with a scary face, no wonder that no one gave me a chance; Kaiman had also given them a deadly glare making it even worse. Not only that, after a few hours, he started to act like a little child, "N/A...I am hungrrryyyy" Despite his size, he sure was good at whining like a five year old, tugging on my jacket, "N/A...I need foooooodddddd!"

"Then get your own, I am busy!"

Like that would shut him up, "Let's go there" Excited to find a ramen shop, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me along. With the amount of strength he had, I was literally dragged around like a doll. Like a child on Christmas, Kaiman yelled out, "FOOOOOOOODDDD!!!!!!!!" With his hands up in the air, I tried to turn on my heel and leave. He seems to realize it and slammed the door shut, "Let's get some booze too!"

"I am not hungry and most certainly not thirsty; all I need now...is a job."

"Relax N/A, where is your sense of fun?"

I shrugged, "probably out there waiting for me."

Kaiman sighted at that, "Then let it wait, we are going to eat now."

"I told you I am not hungry!"

"You will be in a minute" I had no chance against this strength, placing my butt into the corner of the bench. With him sittign beside me, I couldn't escape from anywhere. Kaiman acted like we're best mates, talking to me about random stuff while eating at the same time. I could only moan out in frustration, since he took an awfully long time for his food, ordering more and more. I get the feeling that he does it deliberately. The lizard man didn't see the problem and kept talking.

At the hospital, someone was waiting outside the building.

He looked at the watch and shook his head, "She is supposed to be here half an hour ago."

The doc joined the young man soon after, "Did she show up thirteen?"

"No, did something happen to her?"

Vaux shrugged, "Nikaido said that she would look for a job, if she took this side of the town, she would have come across the hospital sooner or later."

"I think I should see where she is"

The doc however, advised him not to, "It is already getting dark and I bet she is with Nikaido now." Thirteen wanted to be sure, calling her straight away. Kasukabe, the young looking doctor, was also concerned of where I was. No one expected that I would have to drag a drunken Kaiman through the streets in the middle of the night. Sweating all over, he just began to mumble random things that didn't make any sense.

"Great, I still got no job and have to drag your ass back home. What did I do wrong in my life?"

"...you are sooooooo prettyyyyy..."

I sighted, "So what?"

"...ugllllyyyyyyy" That is it!

Slam!!!!!!!!!!

"Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!" It felt good to hear him scream out in pain, hitting the ground with his face first.
